And Parnell.

They did what was expected though.

We could bring in a guy like Eric Weddle.

Hi, Jaguars fans. Dan Graziano also tweeted the Jaguars also released RT Jeremy Parnell, and LS Carson Tinker. Jaguars now have $30.06 million in salary cap space.

Yeah, I can see their intent, I just don't agree with it as a Monday morning quarterback. You can pick up solid depth with a 5th round pick.

I intend to be a millionaire, if only I could convince people to lend me money like I was one.  This front office baffles me repeatedly.

I may not agree with you on politics, but on this issue, I agree with you 150%

Really? I knew Jackson was definitely gone. I thought Parnell would be gone after the draft, but I was not expecting Gipson to be gone and I don't get the Hyde move at all.

Well they were trying to trade Hyde, so I am not surprised he was released. I am surprised at Gipson though.

Desperate move in an attempt to save jobs for Coughlin, Marrone, and Caldwell. Ended up only hurting us tho lol

This is why I was all for drafting a QB. Mark it down, we're gonna sign Foles for $20+ million per year at 5 years and we're gonna go 8-8.

The Foles' signing will [BLEEP] us so bad in the next 4 years. We have 29 Mio in space as of now of which about 20 might go to Foles. After the 2019 season we can cut Blake for a cap hit of 5 Mio, but that cap space wont be nearly enough to sign Ramsey, Ngakoue and Jack, so even more players will have to leave, leaving us with a rebuild that will only be hampered by the salary Foles will commend for the next 3-4 years. Instead of retooling entirely through the draft we will pay Foles loads of money for us to be a below average team, instead of building up a cheaper, young QB through the draft(s). I was pissed with the BB5 extension, pissed with a lot of coach and player signings over the years, but I have a feeling this will prolong our suffering even more, bcs we wont have money for FAs and our team lacks so many weapons on so many positions, this is such a cop out by the FO to make things look slightly better for a season only to prevent the rebuild from happening sooner.

Yep. Backup caliber RB's are a dime a dozen. I'd of just settled on a guy off the streets like Jamal Charles and drafted one this year if LF didn't pan out. Heck, i'd probably still draft one, because we still don't know if LF will show up to camp looking like White Goodman at the end of Dodgeball.

They were all expected but Parnell was the only one I thought could stay.

Once they started shopping Hyde and Gipson, you knew they were gone. Literally no reason at all to have Hyde on the team. You save 5 million and you can find another RB in the draft or as an UDFA.

This is what happens when you don't consistently draft well and count on free agency to stay competitive.

That's the only way. We don't have enough draft picks to fill all of our major needs.

It sucks. They better have a good plan.

Harrison is a SS, Wilson is a good player but not sure he is a starter for a full season in this league.

Maybe, but frankly these bandaid solutions where we play it safe instead of going for more upside (and risk bad picks) is the reason we never got very far. We drafted badly but you cant stop trying, the Browns were so incredibly bad and now they look pretty decent with a nice young QB that got the fans excited for what is to come. We need the draft, we have to try, it takes one good pick to change a franchise, one QB that works out and our luck changes. Its not easy, but its that simple.
