How do you know? You won't know until he gets on the field.

No one was crowning him a genius. Just like crowning him a faker now is silly.

We will never know where he was on other teams draft boards, so we don't know if he would have been taken in 4th, 5th, or gone undrafted.

Well apparently Dave feels we needed one. He even said so in his news conference.

Doesn't matter how good he is. No one had him with a draft grade.

Do you pay $100 for something if you are the only person who wants it? Do you wait and say here is $5 as there is no demand? The Jags overpaid making it a terrible pick.

Man you seem so in touch... Why aren't you scouting for the NFL already? You're wasting all of your talents posting on a Jags forum when you obviously should be a top scout in the league.

So if he turns into a Pro Bowler or worst case a starter, then would he be worth the pick? Don't get hung up on draft position. Get hung up on what he brings to the team.

Curious, were ya'll calling Caldwell an idiot after he drafted Yannick after getting Myles Jack and Ramsey? This draft reminds me so much of 2016 it gives me goose bumps.

Championshipppp!

But you have to because the draft. The Jags just spent more money on him for 4 years when he could have been had for league minimum. With the financial impacts, the Jags could have gotten another starter or backup in the 3rd round and paid $100. Then added Williams for $5, ending up with 2 starters or backups for $105.

Now they overpaid and have to find another player to make the roster from the UDFA pool which is highly unlikely.

It's not really about value of the player, but perceived value by other teams. If no one else knows about him, you are just ending up bidding against yourself. Same thing happened with Foles and they overpaid him without any competition.

Yannick was something I didn't see coming. ill give him that.

Jack and Ramsey, on the other, hand are completely different stories. Jack was considered a top 10 pick before an injury and Ramsey was one of the most obvious picks in the whole draft. Ill give him credit for making the trade up to get jack but it hardly took a NFL scout to Identify the talent there.

This is fake news. None of us know if this is accurate or not. No one in the MEDIA had a draft grade on him.

If scouts/GMs want a player to remain a sleeper of sorts, why on earth would they tell the media about him. Heck many of them even send out mis-information on 1st round picks, why on earth would they be full disclosure on mid or late round picks.

The Williams pick was a head-scratcher but we will see in training camp and preseason.

We also got our TE.

I really like the TE pick. Q Williams is a bit of a head scratcher. But I'm not going to get all stressed about the 98th pick in the draft.

We feel this way every year since Caldwell has been here. Last year we got a grade A draft and then ended up 5-11

Yeah, 130 games lost to injury will do that to a team.

LOL. Ya because how a draft goes is always reflected in the following years record. Where do you people come from?

Well we've picked top 10 in a record 11 of the last 12 drafts...so at what point does the record matter? 7 drafts is kinda crazy for a guy with as much ammo and as little results as Dave has had.

We had a great team going into last season, but then half the team wound up on IR.  I don't blame Caldwell for that.
