That is/was pretty much me.  We got bruises and broke bones and I would say that many of us turned out alright.

Yep, there was a period were every year I was in the emergency room.   One time I broke my arm.  I wasn’t even in school yet.  My parents realized something was wrong with me later that evening and took me to the er.  I broke my arm doing something I thought I’d get in trouble for.    So I didn’t tell my parents or the doctor.  I didn’t realize the doctor was starting to think my dad broke it.  It got to the point my dad said “ if you don’t tell the doctor how you broke your arm, I’ll break the other.” Even at my young age I thought he was tricking me.  I eventually spilled the beans.

So, uh, what were you doing?

Oddly enough, I was a small kid (still small in stature).  I used to purposely "target" and challenge the bigger guys either in football or wrestling.  I "lost" many times but there were also times that I got the better of them, especially after some "off-season" training in "free style wrestling".  It was basically judo.  Once I learned about leverage and momentum I put many big guys on their butts.

I'm pretty sure I gave my younger brother a Napolean Complex and then he grew to about 6'5" 260lbs. We've only fought once since lol.

Everyone must be able to participate.

If the alleged intentionally aimed at this kid's head, knowing his condition, that's one heckuva karmic offset looming.

That's BS. If a kid has a medical condition that does not allow for a safe playing environment then the kid needs to sit it out or find something else to do.

Sorry, I should have included @@'s to imply sarcasm.

I was not endorsing that mantra.

I wish I had a really cool story.  But I was only 4 maybe 5 at the time.  I was jumping off the furniture.  I don’t think I was ever told not to....but I’m pretty sure I would have gotten in trouble had they known about it before I broke my arm.  Mom was cooking and dad must’ve been on the way home from work.  I saw an opening for adventure  and I took it.

With a broken arm, you'd have STILL gotten in trouble?

Who were your parents, Ayn Rand and Montgomery Burns?

I was little.  Like I said, I did not get in trouble.   I thought I would.  I also didn’t know I broke it.  I knew it hurt bad.  They were strict for sure, but I can’t say they were mean or bad parents.  I was spanked but never beaten.  My childhood was pretty awesome actually.  I guess I grew up on the tail end of when parents did their job as parents.

Lol. I was actually trying to recreate the opening credits of “Tour of duty” where a man steps on a land mine.  A Vietnam show in the 80’s..
