Taven Bryan expectations?
|
Taven has the talent and ability to succeed imho, but he simply must stop being such a brat. I expect Tavon to start acting like a professional football player. I also expect Caldwell to do a better job identifying and avoiding such immaturity so the team doesn't have to deal with boat rockers.

Are you referring to the dumb penalties? Or is there something else I’m not aware of? Some people think playing video games makes you immature. ![]() ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. I think it's more likely that you'll see a lot of parody accounts of your hot takes in the form of "Light Drizzle" "Chance of Showers" etc. in the same vein of "The Happy Cat" user which popped up in response to TMD ... The Happy Cat's signature parodying TMD's was pure GOLD.
Championship Formula:
1) Draft Trevor Lawrence! 2) Play good physical Defense! 3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy! 4) ??? 5) Blank #2 6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!! (08-27-2019, 09:17 AM)JaguarKick Wrote:(08-27-2019, 08:58 AM)HURRICANE!!! Wrote: I guess I'll need to change my instagram account to TheRealHURRICANE!!! ![]()
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

Lots of questions in the O-Zone about possibly getting rid of Taven. Seems pretty unlikely. Almost every year after final cuts, we've had 10 dlineman on the roster. 9 I think is the lowest I've seen over the last 5 years or so but usually it's 10. I cant think of 10 guys on the roster we'd keep over Taven. I cant think of 9.
Campbell, Abry, Calais, Yan, Allen, Smoot. That's 6. But then... Datone? Ankou? Russell? ________________________________________________ Scouting well is all that matters. The only people who are talking about getting rid of Bryan after literally 1 season, are nothing but complete idiots and that's me being nice. I said it in another thread, but I'll repeat it again here. I see the DL group looking like this after final cuts.. Ngakoue, Campbell, Allen, Dareus, Bryan, Abry Jones, Datone Jones, Smoot, Russell and McCray. That's 10 right there. McCray is the odd man out if they only keep 9.

There is a large chasm between not living up to your draft spot and not being worth a roster spot. Taven falls firmly somewhere in between that.

Actually, he had pretty weak stats at UF as well (for a 1st rounder). 3-years - 30 games - 10.5 tackles for loss - 5.5 sacks Jags drafted him based on potential which is looking like a lapse in judgement right now. Calais will be playing the highest % of 3 tech snaps this year since he joined
Yikes, Taven playing tonight is very telling about what the coaches think of him.
When talking about Taven and Chark, lets talk about the important parts. What did their spyder chart and SPARQ look like?

Taven's stat line was better tonight.
3 tackles 2 pressures 1 sack 7 snaps wherein he shed his block entered the backfield and stood there smelling his fingers while the QB scrambled for a first down (08-29-2019, 10:42 PM)NYC4jags Wrote: Taven's stat line was better tonight. Taven Bryan was a bust and will be out of Jacksonville in 2 years and out of NFL football in 3 or 4
