Interesting Comments From Dave about Draft

#1

http://www.bigcatcountry.com/2014/1/29/5...-forum-q-a

I really think that they have their eye on one talent that he said, "we know who we want, we will see if he falls to three." I think they are talking about Clowney. He also said they will take one of the top three players on their board at three so doesn't look like they are moving anywhere. I wonder who the top three on their board are. For some reason, I think it's Johnny, Sammy, and Clowney. What do you guys think? I don't think that Dave is super high on the qb talent in the top end of the draft this year. I think he might try to get Carr in the second.

Thoughts?

Bridgewater, Manziel is not even on the board

Clowney and Watkins are probably 2 and 3 respectively

We are getting Bridgewater at the 3rd if houston is that stupid to pass on him

Manziel is dropping into the second possibly the 3rd, Caldwell wants nothing to do with him.

Bridgewater fits perfectly in our run first style of offense.

We don't have a qb guru who can refine Bortles to competency.

Manziel, Bridgewater and Clowney are all going top five. It's an obvious no brainier.

Eh, Browns don't want Manziel, they were playing the smoke screen game to get Bortles.

I think Houston gets Clowney, we will have Bridgewater at the 3rd spot

FIFY.

You have no idea what's going on.

I'd guess it's either Bridgewater or Clowney. Reading too much into exactly what Dave said, he mentions the player "falling" to us. Based on Clowney and Teddy being really the only players being mocked to Houston and St. Louis having OTs mocked counts them out. I still think they end up going QB in the draft though.

The reasoning makes sense

1. Bortles can handle the beating from AFC North teams

2. A lot of doubts about Manziels ability as a true pocket passer

Haha....when Manziel goes top five, you need to be here during the pick to EAT crow. Don't forget to bring your knife and fork.

He won't be able to do that. He will be jumping off the Matthews when we don't take Teddy. He's probably got his life savings riding on it too.

If he does, I will.

Highly unlikely though

The only way we don't Bridgewater is if he is off the board completely.

Daddy needs to not let him borrow the family car so he can't get over there. Better yet, maybe he should ground him for his own protection. To eat the crow......only let him have the plastic to go utensils
