About 4 hours to deadline. Next year I'm definitely picking a team with a higher pick to start.
It should be twelve hours

I once watched a Styrofoam cup of top soil for six hours straight waiting for bean sprouts to sprout.
This is nothing.

Just a heads up. Next year, I wanna organize another mock draft. It's gonna start on a Saturday at noon. No trades. Each team has 3 minutes to pick. Three rounds. And we vote on who we think had the worst picks. That person gets a new nickname, voted on by the other 31 GMs, which all participants must use when addressing him/her for one week.
Only a chump boos the home team!

Why not just assign each team a player? You could rotate the squirrel cage, reach your hand in, and reveal who we are picking? I have a better idea, why not limit the mock draft to people that show some sort of respect for other people and expect civil behavior out of those participating as well as those spectators? Shame on the ugly nasty people with so much hatred and bigotry that I, for example, am an injured person. If it weren't so comical to see a bunch of cry-babies pack up their big boards and quit in the middle of a mock draft because an opposing GM doesn't do exactly what they want, I'd have my own feathers ruffled. So we want Gus to change the culture around here? Why not look in the mirror and ask yourselves is a mock draft something so expressly vital to my human existence that I must treat a complete stranger rudely and indignantly? It seems to me the lesson being learnt is Jaguars' fans are bigger quitters than the actual Jaguars are. Good luck to Gus with that. Standing By..... ![]()

My thought is these would go much smoother if GMs knew they were assigned a team, had to research team needs and target a half dozen or so players who they think would be good in that slot and kept a pace that mimicked the real life pressure teams feel during the draft.

Quote:You never played the game. Didn't need a crystal ball to see what would happen when you picked the jags Watching seemed and is much more fun
Quote:Why not just assign each team a player? Oh my lord. Biggest loser I've ever come across on the internet goes to you moron. Congrats.
Shock the world
Quote:I like the pick just not where u got him at could have traded back more if there were offers. Hageman wasn't making it past Chicago. At worst it was a 4 spot reach. However JC's trade with Oakland was beyond terrible, as was passing on Teddy. And he passed on Bortles 3 times. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Mine, unless you all got pissed waiting for the Tacks and picked for me. Sorry, work has been crazy. Now to wade through a million pages of crap to find who has been drafted.

You don't have to wade through posts.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
I agree with NYC here, it's pretty cool to just sit back with some popcorn and watch you guys fight your way through this. Looks like a couple have gotten out of the playpen but others have jumped in..
On "The Trade"...I initially didn't like it but after watching JC defend the Hageman (sp?) pick and seeing that the Jags have moved up a few spots in the second round, I have come to realize yet again that there's more ways than one to skin a cat. He's added a potential stud to the DL, will add a solid player in the second and has moved up a little in the third and added a pick later to the mix. I'm staying tuned and putting another log on the fire.
