Norwell is the worst FA in Jaguars history

Trade Norwell and start Richardson and Cann.

Good Lord! He was absolutely the worst OT I've ever seen. He was a human turnstile.

Look again. He's either got DeValve lead blocking, Richardson pulling from the right or both. He's having a terrible year, but Mario Addison said something about how he beat Norwell. He said that Norwell likes to be aggressive, but on the play that he blew him up Norwell was being passive. Is this possibly just another case of the Jaguars going out and signing a square peg then trying to shove him into a round hole?

Norwell has an Aaron Ross track suit
Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.

Here's Mario Addison's exact words on it..

“I knew Norwell liked to be aggressive, but this time he was passive,” Addison said. “So, I stabbed him and grabbed his hands and ran back to the quarterback as hard as I could before he could recover.”

I'm not going to make excuses for Norwell because he's played like flat [BLEEP], but at some point you have to ask how much of that is the result of him possibly having been shoehorned into a different style of play? Players fall off a cliff, but for someone as young as Norwell to go from the best guard in football to the fourth-best offensive lineman on his own team, which isn't exactly swimming in all-pros...how?

Right? He has been really bad the moment he stepped on the field for us. Most of us were giving him a pass last year because of the "oh he's injured" excuse. But this year he is healthy and he looks even worse... What's the issue here?

I agree with you completely. How do you go from giving up little to no pressures/sacks for years, to all of a sudden looking like a fish out of water. He has been blown backwards into the QB so many times already this season that I've lost count. Not to mention how useless/how many whiffs hes had in the run game.

It's just baffling.

And honestly, I think Norwell has been the worst guy on our OL this season. Dare I say it, but I think Cann has been better than him.

I'd probably put Norwell as the 6th best guy on our OL so far. Hes had so many flat out BAD plays already that it's ridiculous that he's in his 6th year, with 70 games started. Then you add onto the fact that he has a cap hit of $16m this year... I just can't..  Wallbash

Couple of gems from Norwell...

I remember watching this play live and thinking "oh [BLEEP] this could be a good one"... Needless to say, Norwell is in full force here....  Wallbash

Another one of him whiffing... A constant trend for him. Robinson doesn't do much better on the play either, but at least he isn't left grabbing at air.

A view down field on this play above. If Minshew is able to get even a second longer, the middle of the field is WIDE open for Chark.

Jerry Porter.
Ten million guaranteed and 11 receptions = $909,090.91 per catch.
Worst FA signing in team history.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

Good 'ol Amelia Gerhart. I remember how far out of twist some panties got around here when that nickname popped up. Too bad it turned out to be appropriate.

I really thought he would make an impact, like a Natrone Means type. Not even close as it turns out. Looks like he's out of the league now.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Julius Thomas was pretty bad as well.

I don't know much about offensive line play but something doesn't add up.

Boselli was saying that about Joeckel too for like 3+ years when all of us could see that he sucked.

1010xl is fake news -- they are being paid by the Jags.

He's like McCaffrey without the quickness, speed, precision, and ability to run within the gaps.

Because the only dumber thing the Jaguars have done involving a punter was spending a third-round pick on Bryan Anger to replace him.

Porter and Douglas are tied for worst ever. But Norwell better get his head out of his [BLEEP] or he will be number 1.

From what I’ve seen, he’s good in the run game but he’s terrible in pass pro. He’s too stiff, and he makes DTs look like all pros. He gets thrown around in the pocket. He better tighten up or I’m sticking AJ Cann’t back in there!

I'd say put Shatley in there, but he's apparently the only player we have who can fill in at center?

In fairness, I'd be talking about replacing the tackles too, except we don't have anyone to replace them with.
