Yup, people gone soft.  That hit was legal in the 80's 90's.  Linebacker is just trying to make a play and dislodge the ball.  They just happen to hit helmets.

League has gone soft because of the law suits filed due to head trauma. It's either reduce the violence in the game or there will be no game.
