For those crying over missing out on the 1st pick.

Drafting the number 1 pick qb.    or a first round qb.    Does not mean anything.   Wilson proved you don't have to be drafted in the first round to win the big one.   Hype don't win the big game a true qb does.

I agree to an extent.  This team needs to take the most talented player available and continue to build the roster.  If the guy Caldwell thinks is the franchise guy is there, no matter what round, obviously I'm OK with him taking that QB.  However you don't take a QB just to take a QB.  You build and develop your roster and eventually the right QB will be around.

There are many ways to build a roster and Seattle showed that tonight.

I think tonight opened my eyes more than anything. Seattle all around had a better team then Denver. Teams win championships, not quarterbacks, not defenses, but teams.

Denver was outmatched, even though they were the 'norm.' Peyton is outstanding, but no one can win a Super Bowl alone.

people on the board would always cry well manning alone was the reason the clots kept winning.   so mathis and freeney did not help?     A qb alone will not win it all in football.

So tell me, how many years did it took the NFL to go from Brady to Wilson?  Geez, you people act as though mid rounds QB like Wilson and Kaep happen every year.  Get to reality please!

Look at who the playoff teams were. Then look at their QB's. This isn't rocket science. It's not often you have a 3rd round QB to come in and play like Russell Wilson. I doubt we'll see anything like it for a long time. You NEED a QB to win in this league. JJ Watt really racked up them wins this year. Along with Mario Williams, Robert Quinn, and Robert Mathis. Wallbash If you can't clearly see this is a QB driven league, it's safe to call you delusional.

So, you'd be cool with Matthews if he was BAP?

If you think the QB 'drives' Seattle you have no idea what you are watching.

Your logic makes absolutely no sense.

1 team with a historically great defense wins the superbowl and shuts out Peyton Manning to 8 points, (which has been done 2 times already), and apparently you don't need a QB to win in this league? You can't draft a 3rd rounder and ecpect him to turn out like Russell Wilson. That's asinine.

No. What is asinine is you thinking that Wilson is some great QB. Seattle is predicated on defense and totally dispells the RUMOR that you have to fill the air with footballs to win in this league. Seattle runs a very conservative offense and doesn't need some stud QB. They just want him to not make mistakes.

Now run along junior and go buy yourself some new kicks.

Teams that have drafted a QB with the #1 pick have a better sucess rate then teams drafting a QB with the #3 pick overall.

Regular season - YES !!   Defense still wins championships.  Just like every sport (Baseball, Football, Basketball, Hockey)

So under that rationale, is Bob Griese not a Hall of Fame QB?

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!
