I'm sorry, but what exactly did they get right w/ Mario? The only playoff game they ever won was against the also QB purgatorized Andy Dalton 'led' Bengals.

 

That's actually even more ammo for the QB argument. Even when you do hit on an all world DE you still don't win jack if you don't have a franchise QB.

 

As always, if Dave deems there to be a franchise QB prospect available at 3 he will take him, even if Clowney is on the board. As he should too, every time. The flip side of course is that if he doesn't then you don't force it and you take Clowney, Mack, or Watkins and you are still very happy.

you dont know what dave will do, he might feel he can get Clowney and a franchise QB in the 2nd. i bet he would rather both than just a franchise qb

You don't understand the term franchise QB prospect then. Franchise QB prospects don't fall to the 2nd round.
