No, no, he had many other qualities besides his experience like...ummm...uh...perhaps, no...

Well, something I'm sure.

Brunell was the unknown quantity Einstein and Beuerline went on to become a pro bowl qb so he definitively had some qualities your hindsight "eye test" missed.

And what further shows how stupid your assertion was that Coughlin would be yelling at Marrone for benching Foles is the fact that Minshew has been named the starter.

How would we feel about Ron Rivera if/when Carolina let’s him go?

Pass. He's John Fox and Jack Del Rio at best. He'll get you to the hump. Maybe. But he won't get you over it.

No more taking out the trash.  I know you have to do some recycling but why oh why do we want other teams failures.  I do understand that we went up and comer and ended up with Gus but still …   need to do something different.

Trying to hire from the Belichick tree is just like what teams in college were trying to do with Saban assistants for awhile there. It just never works.

As a DC? Wouldn't feel too bad about it probably.

As a HC? Nahh

With Kahn's ties to Illinois would Lovie Smith be considered?

No thanks.  He has an old school run the football play strong defense mindset.  To be clear, I believe in running the football and playing strong defense, but if that's all you have it's going to be very tough to win a SB in this era.  The offense needs to be a multifaceted attack.

Only if his beard comes with him.

I'm a bit fuzzy on the details, but I read an article a year or two ago about how head coaches who failed initially and then earned a second chance (Belichick, Carroll, and plenty more) had some of the best track records. I think it was an article arguing that Josh McDaniels would likely be an excellent hire.

On the contrary, head coaches who had long periods of success have almost never succeeded in second stints elsewhere. I think it was basically Vermeil and Reid compared to like two dozen retreads that failed.

Hire his son, Steve Belichick.

Like father like son.

So who would qualify for that?

Jay Gruden?

I'm actually not opposed to Gruden who seemed to do well considering the lack of talent on the Redskins roster, the amount of injuries they suffered and the head case of a FO.

HC : Eric Bieniemy
DC : Paul Posluszny
OC : John DeFilippo

Draft OL and DL/LB as much as you can.

This further proves the point that the Foles decision was out of Marrones hand. Marrone benches Foles and now all of a sudden someone "leaks" information that Marrone will be fired?

And Garofolo also said Foles is frustrated with the benching. Most likely because he was told something different from the FO.

This team is a circus. And we are all clowns for being a part of it each year, lol.
