I am so torn about it. He traded back and reached for a guy at 10, and then used the earlier 2nd round pick that he received to reach for another guy. On the other hand, we do know that this is a deep class at DT and these are two guys who would become day one contributors on our D Line. I'd say it was a good pick.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke. 

my problem is he traded back twice which i think is great. But if you trade back then why reach for a player in each spot?

 

2 dt's in a row? No DE? No interior Line?

 

Seems wasted to trade back and reach for a player that would be there later, then to move up and still take a reach in the 2nd round.

 

But it is his draft so its what he thinks.

I like Kelcy Quarles.  I also like Scott Crichton.  Would love to have Crichton on the Jags (I don't think he's worth a 1st round pick, or he might have been my pick with the Bengals).  But I don't think Quarles worth a high 2nd round pick.  In the 3rd?  Maybe.

 

Obviously it's JC's draft to do with what he wants.  A bit hard as a Jags fan to see them draft like this though.  Makes me pine for the good ol' days of Gene Smith.
