Interesting. Liked him coming out of WV. Glad things worked out with Minshew though.

Didn't mean to put in the Jags section. Maybe the mods will move

Agree, I wouldn't trade Minshew for any of the QBs that came out this year

I'd still take Haskins and Kyler

I'd maybe consider Kyler. Haskins... not so much.

I could see if some would take Murray.  But Minshews 17TDs 5 Ints and come back wins with no TE and trash coaching staff vs Haskins 5 TDs And 7 INts with his college WR that was setting rookie recieving records before he was even named starter.  I'll have to take Minshew

Haskins was put in a bad position. Reportedly Gruden didnt want him to begin with but Synder insisted.

Next coaching hire there will have to be onboard with Haskins. Which can go either way.

Murray has a ton of potential. They just need to give that kid better protection. And a running game that's consistent.

Doesn't help playing in a pretty stacked division though. Still want to see Minshew with better supporting talent next year too.

I'm still holding out hope that we'll finish in the same place in our division that the Raiders finish in theirs which would mean a road trip to Vegas next year! A Panthers win against the Colts would go a long way to making that possible so I'll be rooting pretty hard for Will Grier.

So seriously...how is Murray up for OROY but not Minshew? Minshew has as many TDs, half as many INTs, and only 500 fewer yards in four fewer games.

How many ex-Gator QBs are there who transferred to other schools and also started in the NFL this year?

Cam Newton, Will Grier, Jeff Driskel, Jacoby Brissett, all those have started for an NFL team this year.  And they all transferred away from UF to another school before they went on to the NFL!

I'm interested to see him play. I was hoping they'd take him 3rd or 4th round as a project.

Remember that guy who wouldn't shut about about Grier being a first-rounder?

Some of you must be missing the throws that Murray makes every single game.

I like Minshew but I would trade him and a 1st rounder for Murray in a heart beat.

Yeah... Murray has been really good on a really bad team.
Early in the season before trades and injuries our defense was light years better than AZ. Our starting RB hasn't been hurt this year. OLs are comparable in how much they suck I suppose. And a lack of weapons is also comparable. He's got a rookie WR and an old Larry Fitz. We got Chark and a bunch of 3's and 4's.

Murray can really spin the rock and his wheels are far superior to Minshew.

Love what Minshew has done but people are way high on the mania.

Kirk is a good WR as well and an old Fitz is still better than a lot of WRs

Chark > Kirk. Larry is a shell of his HOF self.

There isn't a single thing that Minshew does better than Murray and again, I like Minshew. Not to mention, he plays in the best division in football.

Yes Kirk is a good WR (and also a rookie). Not saying he isn't. I'm just saying, the lack of talent on AZ is comparable to our lack of talent. They're on their 3rd RB iirc, that they acquired via trade. Their OL is trash. They have no stud TE and I couldn't for the life of me name a WR after  Kirk and Fitz.

Anyone claiming Minshew is the better QB is just being silly I think.
That being said I really think Minshew can develop. I think we got a steal if he does. And I believe in his ability to be a franchise guy.
Just wish people would stop over hyping a guy who clearly has some issues to work out (taking sacks, field vision, fumbles/ball security) like he should have been a first rounder based on stat sheets alone.
