Jags take two DT with first two picks

Right, I'm not against DTs at #9 and #20 as long as they are clearly BAP. I just think this urgency some of the the fanbase has to draft to "stop the run" is way overblown (not saying that's what you're suggesting). Also, if we're drafting non premium positions, I'm good for a trade down. Not sure you can necessarily rely on ending up with Stroud/Henderson either way. This only makes sense if you're going to move Bryan outside to replace Campbell (don't) or give up on him (don't). I would agree that DT is a position that should be addressed early if Dareus doesn't return, perhaps even if he does, but the OL is at least as pressing a concern. I'd be stoked if the first three picks were some combination of DT, OT and OG. Bring on the beef.
I dont like this idea at all. Bryan played good yesterday a d has flashed. He's only 23 and you would be pretty much giving up on him at DT and Bryan is not a DE. Would much rather Biadasz with our 2nd 1st round pick
I think at 9 we can hang up the idea of getting Brown.
Thinking WR a real possibility at 9. Biadasz would be great at 20. Gonna be interesting to watch which OTs come out and which ones test well at combine, etc. Josh Jones is a name I've been seeing a lot lately so I'm wondering how much he rises. It seems at the top of round 2 he'd be a steal. Thinking he sneaks into the bottom of round 1. Maybe we trade back from 9, gain an extra pick and grab Biadasz in the teens and Jones at 20. Loading up with mid round picks for all the other holes we have.
If I'm doubling down on a position, its OL. Especially if we can restructure Dareus

These 'big boards' are going to change so many times over the next few months.
Especially after the combine. ![]()

I have us taking him in round 2, but before it is all said and done, he could sneak into round 1. We may have to get him at #20. I'm gonna be keeping a close eye on him and Trey Adams at the Senior Bowl. Getting one of those two and Tyler Biadasz would be a decent consolation prize after missing out on NT Derrick Brown.
I changed my mind, this is my wish. I'd take Brown at 9 and trade up from 20 for Kinlaw

Plus, I like some of DT prospects projected to go in the later rounds where we can maximize value and production like Gallimore (Oklahoma), Lawrence (LSU), Benito Jones (Ole Miss), and Raequan Williams (Mich St.). If no events happen between now and darft day, Kinlaw might be that annual Jags' pick in the second of a guy with first round talent but injury concern.
I will admit that leading up to the Senior Bowl I saw him as a possibility at 9. Since then, he sat out the game with a minor injury, did not do drills in Indy, and may not have a Pro Day to showcase his ability. I'm starting to cool on him, and can easily see him falling to 20, and maybe even further, thanks to the uncertainty. That is definitely possible. The ideal first round would be Okudah at 9 and Kinlaw at 20. If they do trade Yannick for a late 1st, they should then address wide receiver with someone like Jefferson. Brown at 9 is quickly becoming the worst case scenario of the likely options to me.

Take one, and fill another hole with the other pick. Not saying they are the same talent level or prospect, but it's the equivalent of Harvey/Groves as your first two picks. However, if you are saying that Brown at 9, [mumblemumble] at 20, and Kinlaw is there at 42, by all means, that is FANTASTIC value and should be the pick. Worst case makes it sound bad, he's a good player he just won't be the best player available at 9. At least one of the OTs will be there and they are better while also filling a big need.
