That's not a defensive play, though.  That's a special teams play.

The way the sentence was written I thought they were talking about the 49ers game. You're.....right. I'm gonna go die now.  Tongue

Please dont die, it was a simple misreading. Plus it was 25 years ago, some of these kids were in diapers back then.

But without Tony Brackens running all the way downfield and catching that WR from behind, the Falcons would have scored a TD and we would not have gone to the playoffs.

That is one of the most important, most forgotten defensive plays in team history.   Probably the most important defensive play in team history.

Go to the 1:54:19 mark in the video and you can see it.

Go to the end of the game was hear that stadium explode.  Unbelievable.  What a great memory.  I was there.

But, again, the play I am pointing to is where Tony Brackens caught the Falcons' WR from behind and prevented a game-winning TD.

Look at all the people in that stadium. It's almost like ancient history.

I know, but it's my favorite Jags play of all time. I just like reminding the younger fans of the good ol' days!  Smile

I doubt that he leaves unless he's "hell bent" on getting out of Jacksonville.  I'm thinking he either gets a new contract or tagged.

Your right. It was a 7-0 score and Simmons made the interception and made it 7-7.

The Bills scored on the very next drive to make it 14-7.

Another key play that Simmons made, which effected the game was a blocked extra point up in Denver the very next week. We were down 2 scores when he made that play if I can remember. I was 14 years old and now I’m 37 so my memory could be off.

Actually now that I think about it, Simmons May have blocked the first xp, then Denver tried for a 2 pt conversation and didn’t convert which made it 12-0 and we won 30-27. I don’t feel like looking it up.

I also said Means rushed for 186 but it was actually 175.

Fournette reminds me of a little bit of Natrone Means.

Any of the Rashean Mathis' interceptions against Ben Roethlisberger.

My favorite one was the one he had during the night game here to seal the game. The stadium was absolutely bonkers.

Rashean has Ben’s number. Remember his hair was out of bounds?

Another great defensive play that is long forgotten was back in the 90s when Massey made a tackle on 4th down against the Giants.

The Jags stuffed them on 4 straight plays down on the goal line.
