I found the NFL.com scouting report on Old Tom Brady, a sixth round compensatory draft pick (bottom of the round),  which was provided by Pro Football Weekly:

Notes: Baseball catcher and football quarterback in high school who was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the 18th round of the June 1995 baseball draft. Opted for football and redshirted at Michigan in '95. Saw limited action in '96 and '97 and started the past two years. Completed 3 of 5 passes for 26 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in '96, 12-15-103-0-0 in '97, 214-350-2,636-15-12 in '98 and 180-295-2,216-16-6 in '99, when he often shared time with super sophomore Drew Henson. Went all the way against Alabama in the Orange Bowl and completed 34-46-369-4. Unlike many Michigan quarterbacks, Brady is a pocket-type passer who plays best in a dropback-type system.

Positives: Good height to see the field. Very poised and composed. Smart and alert. Can read coverages. Good accuracy and touch. Produces in big spots and in big games. Has some Brian Griese in him and is a gamer. Generally plays within himself. Team leader.

Negatives: Poor build. Very skinny and narrow. Ended the '99 season weighing 195 pounds and still looks like a rail at 211. Looks a little frail and lacks great physical stature and strength. Can get pushed down more easily than you'd like. Lacks mobility and ability to avoid the rush. Lacks a really strong arm. Can't drive the ball down the field and does not throw a really tight spiral. System-type player who can get exposed if he must ad-lib and do things on his own.

Summary: Is not what you're looking for in terms of physical stature, strength, arm strength and mobility, but he has the intangibles and production and showed great Griese-like improvement as a senior. Could make it in the right system but will not be for everyone.

Lol, if this is the case he is a lock to go number 1.  You need to go ahead and become a Texans fan because we aint trading up to the number one spot and Texans wouldnt trade it to us anyway.

Thats why it should be obvious to anyone with two brain cells to rub together that Bridgewater is gonna be the guy

Unless Clowney runs a 4.4 and kills the rest of his combine and pro day work outs to the point you think you have reggie white incarnate

The answer is no one. We have never seen a prospect of this caliber before.

Next year we'll be asking about who the next Teddy Bridgewater is.

So you have him as a sixth round lock, no?

The question remains: who in this draft does the Tom Brady Michigan highlights reel remind you of?

Let's look at it in totality.

...what?

I don't even...

Seriously, why do you direct this kind of stuff towards me? As I've said elsewhere, I'm one of the few people who here who doesn't hate on you. Now, I'll continue doing so regardless of your actions, but I'm just wondering. Why do you behave this way?

Tommy,

Yeah, me too.

I always wondered how everybody missed Tom Brady. I wondered if it was possible to see his Michigan play again. I clicked on the YT not knowing what I was going to discover.

Thanks to you and Flgatorandjags. I sought extra sets of eyes to confirm what I was seeing and you had the same vision.

I now feel there's a quarterback to target in this draft, but now wonder if Fisch is too much a crab to change his own philosophy.

You can't draft McCarron and throw him in right away.

Except for the fact that Brady was 6'5 while Bridgewater is maybe 6'2.  And Brady had a big frame but was skinny.  If you look at his combine photo its as if the guy didnt know what the inside of a gym looked like.  Bridgewater has a small frame and already looks maxed out.

Im surprised his scouting report said not a strong arm.  some of the throws in his video he put some real mustard on.  Still amazing a guy his size who put up some pretty good stats at an elite football school went that low in the draft.  I know his lack of athleticism and poor build scard some teams away but still.  How could everyone pass on him 5 times.

Probably the biggest reason he was overlooked was due to the false hype behind Drew Henson.

Although he won the starting job and wasn't a bad QB, everyone was looking past him and focusing forward, anxious to see the Henson era.

So, there's a lesson there in ignoring false hype behind some candidates and taking a closer look at prematurely dismissed QBs.

A.J. McCarron is tracking so similar to Tom Brady, it's scary. You watch Brady's Michigan highlights and switch to McCarron's draft breakdown stuff, and taking into account the Brady video was good stuff only, this is the exact same guy.

I like your comments because they begin to hint at the intense pressure within big-time college football programs. Both Brady and McCarron were under incredible pressure by century-old booster organizations with intense, traditional expectations of winning football.

No doubt about it, I have a lot more admiration of A.J. McCarron then I did before I watched the Old Tom Brady stuff.

He's certainly tracking like Brady did.

I have no reservations about drafting McCarron provided we keep Gabbert under contract, and re-sign Henne. McCarron should NOT be baptized under fire. There's no need for that. You run Henne and Gabbert or Gabbert and Henne as one-two and park McCarron at least a year.

Love how the casual viewers are throwing out the McCarron-Brady comparisons completely neglecting the fact that McCarron has no pocket presence.

Bunch of brainiacs we have here

I see where the Texans are making fun of Bridgewater on their board.

You better get over there and fast, and try a different screen name.
