"If you look at the offensive line, Cam [Robinson] did some good things at left tackle, but he was in and out of the lineup [following a torn anterior cruciate ligament in 2018]; he has to get healthy. Obviously, Andrew [Norwell] – the left guard who they paid as a free agent – is a powerful, good player. Brandon [Linder]'s a heck of a center; that's exciting. A.J. [Cann], he does some good things at right guard; he has played a lot of football. Obviously, Jawaan [Taylor] is a great right tackle with huge upside; he's one of the most exciting things that jumped out on tape to me as an offensive lineman with his explosiveness, his feet – he's a natural."

My interpretation:

• Cam has to play better.  Let's hope it was the knee. 
  
• Norwell is fine minus the blatant screw-ups.  
  

• Linder's a stud. 
  
• Cann is upgradeable.  
  
• Taylor will be good with some polish.

Definitely could also be the case too. But Caldwell usually seems more transparent than most.

Here's O-Zone weighing in on the matter:

Did Jaguars General Manager David Caldwell just say that our offensive line was one of our stronger points?
Caldwell and Head Coach Doug Marrone both spoke highly of the Jaguars' offensive line during their media availabilities at the NFL Scouting Combine Tuesday. I'll get deeper into this on jaguars.com later this week, but it does sound as if the team likes the line more than many fans and observers. It reminds me a bit of when Caldwell spoke highly of the Jaguars' wide receivers last offseason. That group for the most part last season outplayed the preseason expectations of many observers. Perhaps the same will be true of the offensive line next season. Stay tuned.

And from the next question:

"From listening to Marrone and Caldwell speak Tuesday, I would be a little surprised if the Jaguars go offensive line with one of those two first-round selections."

I don't think Caldwell is wrong in evaluating the OL in comparison to the entire team.  That's just how bad the team was.  The coverage was terrible.  The run defense was terrible.  The passing game at times shined but at other times just couldn't find itself.  When it did shine the OL was a part of that.  Fournette had a good year and the OL was a huge contributor there.  So yeah in evaluating the entire team, the OL was a strong point.  This does not mean they won't add someone though.  They have to find a RG that can play.

I think they'll add a RG and they will also have a contingency plan for Robinson.  Cann did not get a great endorsement there.  And there seems to be some legit attention to Robinson's health with everyone else getting some good endorsement.
