FRONT OFFICE DECEPTION - JAGS RAISE SEASON TICKET PRICES BY 10%

#1
(This post was last modified: 02-27-2020, 01:33 PM by HURRICANE!!!.)

I just received my Season Ticket Renewal Invoice

BEWARE -- The Jags Front Office is being very deceptive about ticket prices this year.  They state that they reduced the 2 preseason games by 50% and an overall savings of 15% is being recognized on the overall ticket package.  This may be true but what they are not telling you is that they increased ticket prices

Let's do the math on 2 of my Season Tickets
2019 Cost was $1,692 (for 18 games) = $94/ticket per game
2020 Cost is $1,440 (for 16 games) = $90/ticket per game

If you do the calculation that factors in the 50% for the 2 preseason games, that means the Jags raised my ticket price from $94/game to $103/game (in which the 50% preseason discount took it down to and overall average of $90/game).

If they Jags would have held my ticket price at $94/game and offered the 2 preseason games at 50%, then my total price would have been really been $1,316 and not $1,440.

BUYER BEWARE.

IF YOU'D LIKE FOR ME TO FIGURE OUT THE HIDDEN INCREASE IN YOUR TICKET PRICE, JUST PROVIDE THE TOTAL COST FROM 2019 AND THE INVOICE PRICE FROM 2020 AND I'D BE HAPPY TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE INCREASE.

I've been saying that since they announced the second game and the resulting 15% decrease as if they were doing us a favor.     Smoke and mirrors.   And today I read that the new CBA proposal contains a provision for "a team" to play three or more international games a year.  Gee, I wonder who that team would be.

I really am not sure if I am going to renew or not.

Edit, the math for my two seats:

2019 Total cost $4,122 / 18 games = $229 per game

2020 cost should be:   $229 per game for 12 games = $2748  + 4 preseason games at 50% off (4*$114.5) = $458 for a total of $3206 or an average of $200.38 per game.

Instead my invoice is: $3504.   Factor in two preseason games at 50% off the regular season games now average $254 per game or a bit over a 10% increase.     What a crock.

EDIT:  There was some confusion on where I came up with 18 games in 2019 and 12 games etc in 2020.   I have two seats.  So, 9 games in 2019 x two season tickets, means I am buying a total of 18 game tickets.   For 2020 we get 6 regular season games, so I am buying 12 game tickets and 2 Preseason games (4 Game tickets).     Hope that helps.

Lol. I opened mine before coming here and did some basic math and was left scratching my head trying to see how I was saving all that money they talked about. So I came here and got the answer. I'm not.

Looks like 50% off hot dogs, though. That'll add up if you force them down.

12 Games comes from 2 seats to 6 games so call it 12 games.

They'll offset that by raising beer prices...  $12 for a pint of domestic draft isn't insulting enough.

I can't find one either, saw Jason La Canfora and Andrew Brandt comment on it on twitter.

Watch the "Level Up" video that came with the email. I liked when the father and daughter head out of the house and head for the stadium on game day, they should show them stopping at an ATM to pick up $200 for 2 beers, 2 sodas, 2 hot dogs and a foam finger.

Of course, if they are ST holders they will get the dogs at 50% off so $180 should do it.

I'm seriously considering reducing my 8 tickets to only renew 4 and also downgrading to the lowest priced tickets $30/game just so I can still get 4 teal deal books.  Those $25 off of a meal of $60 at nice restaurants are perfect for my wife and I.

Blowing $60/game (2 tix) to watch the Jags lose may be a lot easier to absorb than spending $190 per game for my 2 tix.

I live just west of Orlando, so.. the teal deals books aren't of much value to me.

Dang, that's dedication having season tix given the distance to Jax (vs Tampa).

I've said it before and will say again. I will ride this fandom until the wheels fall off and the car has been sitting for wayyy too long....basically the team is no longer in jax. I can be picky since i have one ticket for me and buy single game tickets for the lady when she wants to come. Stay strong family, stay strong.
