Lol

"We can trade Ramsey because Bouye is still here and he's just as good as Ramsey!"

Can't wait for this convo to be had again when Yan leaves. "We don't need Yan! We have Allen."

However, getting a 4th rounder for Bouye isn't bad considering he was probably going to be cut.

You create this imaginary scenario in your head that everyone on here is on board with every move this FO makes.

This team is a gigantic dumpster fire from top to bottom.

I think this might mean we are going to keep campbell now.

Allen on 1 side and campbell on the other.

You (PLURAL) know, it's preferable to accumulate and retain talent.

I like it.  We're so bad against the run that we're eliminating our DBs to force our opponents to pass the ball.

That's one way to improve our numbers against the run.

I don't really know how dire our cap situation after shedding the easy cuts, but I would've tried my best to keep both Campbell & Bouye.

The Jaguars have agreed to a trade with the Broncos to send cornerback A.J. Bouye to Denver, James Palmer reported. The trade cannot become official until the new league year begins.

It's not as though no Jaguars fans have uttered those words in both situations.   This is the same fanbase who believed in Gene Smith.

As for your closing statements,  I agree with you.  I believe Caldwell is a good drafter.  But player retention is a disaster.

This is the lowest point I think I have ever felt about the organization.

Sweet. He was gonna be a cap casualty so at least we got something for him.

Wow. This might go down as the worst offseason ever.

But we usually win the offseason, so maybe now we'll win the regular season?

We've totally destroyed that 2017 defense.

Bouye ain't special but he's certainly better than 99% of 4th round picks.

Can Simmons play CB? Asking for a friend.

Damn we suck! Now we have to go all defense in the draft, for a Defensive Coordinator who will run the defense into the ground, eventually causing our draft picks to disperse to other teams. I would call this a tank, but it seems like par for the course.

Ok how’s its official. Worst. Offseason. Ever

Good trade. Clears cap, gives us the flexibility to sign someone younger who will be in their prime when the team is hopefully good again (Bouye won’t be). Have no issue with this, it’s what teams who won’t be good should be doing with their older vets with value.
