I read an interview in Iowa where the person was shocked, SHOCKED I say, to learn that Pete was gay. On the one hand the person was a Dem, but on the other, well, Iowa. I really thought now that every show on TV includes a heroic person of deviant orientation and we're constantly barraged with how wonderful/normal/ubiquitous/inspiring/laudable  they are Ol' Pete would've been more out and proud on his platform. My wife and I were friendly acquaintances with him and his wife when we owned our business in Tallahassee. They both supported the brewery.
