His agent has dipped too many honeyed words in his ear. I thought he would maybe get $15M - $18M per year in the New York market between the Jets or Giants. The other way you could look at this too is Washington's position in this year's draft. They have the 2nd overall pick in this draft.

Everyone is already tagging Burrow to the Bengals. The Redskins officially hold ALL of the cards for the next best player in this draft. Or, in all honesty, THE best player in this year's draft. If they're trying to flip Trent Williams at LT and "looking" to gain Ngakoue via trade at DE that automatically gets other teams thinking that they'll be leaning towards Chase Young or one of the top LT's in this draft.

They're using this as chum. I don't think they're really all that serious about Ngakoue. Especially Ron Rivera with Jack Del Rio in charge of his defense now with the Redskins. Where would Ngakoue fit scheme wise? He's not Von Miller at OLB. And he's not a big end like Julius Peppers.

I call full on B.S on this movement right now. This is all chum for trade talks.

Nah they are genuinely interested in him. They don't need to fake a trade to get people to think they might want Chase Young. It would make more sense to pretend they want a QB.

Also Yan would just play edge, doesn't really matter if he's standing up or hand down

I think Yan is making a big mistake. Who knows even what happens with the season this year, so passing up 40-50 million guaranteed is not smart.

Regardless of his destination, even though FA started today and it's too early to tell, Yann may be the victim of his agent. They'll try to break the bank as Yann has eluded to many times by gestures, and probably will miss the mark to which they're demanding. It's even probable that our last offer to which is the equivalent of the Tag #s will superseded any other offerings. Now there may be an team that's willing to overpay and give in to their demands but it's unlikely, thusly giving my ¢2.

If the rumor was true, swapping #9 for #2 and Yan for Trent Williams, that would've been a decent trade. I'm not high on Williams at all, but he'd be better than Cam at left tackle for a year or two, provided he's not a nut job like Brandon Albert was. And then the Jaguars could draft Chase Young.

Trent is only 31 (I believe) and would be REALLY good for a while here, granted he stays healthy.

Yeah I would love to have Trent here. He could still have 4-5 good years ahead. We would then be able to draft BOP with the first pick and maybe guard with the second.

Is that the rumor? Where did you get that from? The value for the Redskins on what they are getting is not enough IMO. Jags would more than likely have to add a 4th to that trade to make it happen.
That being said, I would take that deal 100%. Trent as long as he can stay healthy is twice the tackle Cam is. Although I like Cam, it is an upgrade.
Jags taking Young with that pick is huge.
Redskins then have thier DE and the ninth pick where they can still pick up a QB, Love or Herbert since that is the talk, or still elite talent like Trents replacement.
LOVE THEM JAGUARS!

Dilla's rumor was that they discussed "swapping picks." Others assumed that meant 2 and 9 but I would not do that. Pick 2 is way too valuable for Washington to consider that. It was probably moreso something like Yan and a 4th rounder for Trent and a 3rd. And that's if the rumor was true to begin with.

That makes more sense. It would be nice to get a quality left tackle for Yan. Bump Cam inside to compete with Cann. Then there'd be no need to draft any o-linemen high unless Whirf or Becton took a ridiculous slide to #20.

I bet Caldwell will now kick the tires on Cordy Glenn. Does anyone know how he played in his few games for Cincy? He might be a decent upgrade over Cam, too.
