Never heard of him either.
6'5", 304. 31 combined tackles 3 sacks Quickly googled him looking for some info. Can't really find too much. "Gunter, 27, has started all 13 games for Arizona and has been one of the most important pieces on a defensive line that lost Robert Nkemdiche and Darius Philon before the regular season. Gunter had 31 total tackles and three sacks in 2019 after a career-high 4.5 last season." (03-18-2020, 07:08 PM)JagJohn Wrote: https://twitter.com/Demetrius82/status/1...98945?s=20 Same here. Hopefully he is a nose tackle type. (03-18-2020, 07:09 PM)TJBender Wrote: The last DL we signed from the Cardinals worked out ok. That guy turned out aight, lol.

Is he good against the run tho?
The Cards fans on reddit are saying he is the most average player of all time...so a nice upgrade for us heh.

FWIW - Steve Keim packaged a bunch of late picks to move up and get this guy in the middle of the fourth round (2015) as he was a developmental player whose upside they were very intrigued by.

Well PFF had him as the 70th ranked interior dline, is that better for you? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Not likely to start, but should be part of defensive tackle rotation. He does have plenty of starting experience. He hasn't missed many games with injuries.

All of our players should be top ten statistically and we should have no backup or rotational players. How silly of me. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. This game pays obscene amounts of money to people whose only marketable talent is the ability to hit things really hard. If they're expecting him to be a key part of the rotation, they could see him as worth it. I don't really see what in his stats says $18M. Is it the 4.5 sacks in 2018? Or the 44 tackles? What makes him worth such a huge bump over his $1.75M salary from 2019? Won't question it too much. Like I said, the last defensive lineman we pulled out of the desert turned out ok for us.
