Need help with Jags mock draft 2020

(This post was last modified: 03-27-2020, 09:35 PM by Corbin.)

Greetings Jaguars fans! My name is Corbin and from RamsonDemand.com and we are having our yearly mock draft and I choose the Jacksonville Jaguars. I been following your posts with everything the last month or so.

I can relate with a lot of your feelings and situation of a new owner purchasing our franchise (Khan is our shared potential owner), a possible move to another city, franchise state and talent etc.  I root for you guys in the AFC South every year and like when you do well and draft well etc. Love your uniforms. That leads to my mock draft.

So I'm stuck, I traded #73, #20, and DE Yannick Ngakoue for the #4 pick. (would you have done this trade?) Now The Jags have the #4 and #9 pick.

I've taken Derrick Brown DT Auburn with that 4th pick but very much debating on #9.

I'm thinking LB Isiah Simmons CLemson or CB CJ Henderson FLorida, or should I get one of the remaining QB's (Tua and Barrow taken)

So who would you take to help your team?

p.s. love that area of Florida and would love to move there one of these years! Is there a good market of IT jobs by chance? :Smile

Take care guys and excited to hear from you!

Take Simmons with the 9th pick. Our LB core is depleted. He would make it instantly better. With Brown, Simmons and Jack moving back outside with Schobert signed to play inside we hopefully fix our run defense.

I have a hunch Brown will be there at pick 9 so I'd take an offensive lineman at 4 (Wills, Thomas or Wirfs).

If I misunderstood and you already took Brown, Simmons would be a solid pick if he's there at 9 (Carolina will likely take him at 8). If not, go with one of the offensive linemen or Jeudy to bolster the receiving corps.

Simmons was my target and they took him the post after I made this! :/ lol

I ended up taking Tristan Worfs Iowa OT. I pictured him, in this scenario, as he’ll end up as another Tony Boselli to bookend that line for Menshew.

Thank you both for your responses! I very much like to chat with other teams fans to get their take on their teams. I really like Darqueeze Darnard our of MSU and I’m pissed he didn’t get signed by you guys!

Fred Taylor and MJD some of my favorite RB’s!

Please fire your damn GM smh.

Very nicely done. Brown and Wirfs would be a dream draft in the first.   2 of the best players and 2 of our biggest needs.  Build through the trenches

Yea, I'd take that 1st round any day! It is too bad about Dennard as he probably would have started.

They fired Coughlin. He was, in effect, the GM as well as everything else. Well, maybe not the Roar.

I thought David Caldwell was the GM in his 7th season? I know they fired Coughlin but isn't Caldwell the GM?

I traded Ngakoue away to get to #5

5: Derrick Brown, DL, Auburn
9: Tristan Wirfs OT Iowa
42: Terrell Lewis EDGE Alabama
137: Khalid Kareem DE/Edge Notre Dame
140: Calvin Throckmorton G Oregon

Wanted to fix that O and D line with some beasts. Minshew and Fournette needs all the time and bulldozing they can get.

What do you guys think? Hope fully good things! lol

Throckmorton is one of the very few players on my "Do not draft at any point" list

First two picks are great.

Terrell Lewis could be a great player or a great bust ! I would not pick him before the 4th round.
