Someone came flying down my driveway doing maybe 50-60 mph at about 12:30 last night and went all the way down to the back corner of the property, and killed the engine and lights. Obviously a little strange but It happens to me more often than I'd like.


But because of the extreme speed, and the area they parked something felt a little off. Definitely not the usual trespassers I get.


A minute later, I saw about a half dozen sheriffs cars cruising around with their flood lights on so I ran out to flag them down (which for about 30 seconds was terrifying since they thought I was thief). Long story short, after I managed not to get shot or tazed I hopped in one of the cruisers and directed them down to the bad guys, who amazingly were still standing next to the stolen truck.


I guess they didn't know that once you get to the bottom of that road you're completely surrounded by California's second longest river!

Yea that sounds like a rush for sure, anytime you stick your neck out it's risky but you did the right thing.

Went and saw that property in Interlachen yesterday, the inside of the home is great. However ran into 3 problems that might ruin our chances of buying the home. We're going with FHA rural home loan program so it pretty much has to be turn key ready and this home someone stole the AC Unit, the Well System and Stove. I doubt the bank will want to replace that stuff because it's a foreclosure but FHA won't touch it unless they do.

 

oh well all we can do is wait and see how bad they want to offload that home.......

My brother is a realtor and I've assisted him with foreclosure's in the past.  Many of them had issues like you describe - which the bank paid to replace.  I'd look into it if you like the place.  They may come through. Especially if it's been on the market and unsold for a long time.

well that's encouraging, my realtor sent the bank's agent an email on the stuff we know the FHA would have an issue with. Guess it's a waiting game at this point. It's been on the market for 500+ days but they just foreclosed on it this last November, I guess the people that lost the property where trying to sell it for a while but not keeping up with the payments.
