How Do We Get Rid of Gus Bradley?

Need to "get rid" of someone? I know a guy..........

Quote:If we win less than 4 games this year that might do it. Not a chance, he's going to get more than two seasons. Especially since next year will be rookie quarterback time.
It's absolutely not happening - and from the sounds of your original post you don't want it to happen. So congratulations, you’re way out in the lead for the “most pointless offseason thread” award.
![]() Really, why are you even asking this? Gus has shown potential as a head coach, and he seems well liked by his players, staff and GM. He isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

Had the second half of last season not played out as well as it did i think Gus would be on the hot seat already. I think Gus will do a fine job but if for some reason if the team came out flat and stayed flat all year long that wouldn't be good for Gus or David.
Well we already tried taking Gus to Houston. That might have been our best shot because the Texans lose everything! :woot:
Seriously though, it will depend on how the end of year three looks. That's a reasonable timeframe for any NFL franchise to expect results. If year 3 is along the lines of 4-12 again, changes should be considered.
I think the only way he's gone this year is if it turns into a schiano-level dumpster fire. Very unlikely. Sure hope he's safe. I think the team actually overachieved to get 4 wins last year so expectations should be tempered.
Just let FBT and Dragonfury suspend him....Thats an easy task.
Failure is not an option. 2nd place = 1st loser.

2015 NFL Draft - Analyzing Targets www.jungle.jaguars.com/index.php?/topic/7892-2015-nfl-draft-analyzing-targets/
Unless Gus goes 0-16 this year he has until at least the end of the 2015 season. Everyonr loves him. Caldwell and Shad know this franchise is about 3 more years away from being where they expect us (playoffs and super bowl threats) and are convinced Gus is the guy. All aboard the Gus Bus

All aboard the Gus Bus 3 more years!? whaaaat??? you don't think we'll be contending until 2017????? The owner isn't going to be as quick to pull the trigger on firing a coach at this point as he was with Mularkey. So, even if the team had gone 0-16, Gus would still be very secure in his position. As I said before, Gus is linked to Caldwell. If one goes, so does the other. I don't see that being even a remote possibility. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Agreed the two are married at this time, but historically speaking teams tend to give GM's a little bit of a longer leash then HC's. I think for better or worse David will be this teams GM for some time, I don't expect but wouldn't be shocked if he had more then one head coach under his tenure. Quote:3 more years!? whaaaat??? you don't think we'll be contending until 2017?????I think Caldwell/Bradley have what it takes to have this team around 8-8 in 2015 and contending for playoffs and division titles by 2016. Just my gut feeling on the matter. Quote:I think Caldwell/Bradley have what it takes to have this team around 8-8 in 2015 and contending for playoffs and division titles by 2016. Just my gut feeling on the matter. I'm looking for 7-9 or 8-8 somewhere around there this year, and hopefully in the playoffs or taking the division by 2015. It all depends on the QB to be honest, if the guys not there this year then yea I guess it would be 2016. that sucks............
Quote:3 more years!? whaaaat??? you don't think we'll be contending until 2017?????Should have clarified. .3 years meaning this one included. So 2016 is our window im thinking

I honestly think we have a great coach and GM to be excited about for years to come. I feel as though the 2013 season was pretty much cleaning the trash that was left behind from the last regime and getting ready to move forward. I wouldnt be surprised with a 5-6 win season in 2014, and a .500 record in 2015. I think for the franchise to let either of them go is going to be a complete breakdown in the system.
I feel as though we have something to look forward to and if we panic and pull the trigger to early it will just leave us in a, 'raiders like' constant limbo of blaiming coaches instead of the franchises ability to build for the future. All that really matters is continually building off this season and getting the pieces we need from here out. Very excited for 2014, even more excited for 2015!
The only thing I could see costing Bradley his job this year is a repeat of the first 8 games of 2013, but stretched out over the course of the season to yield a 1-15 to 3-13 disaster. I think the team is looking for progress rather than playoffs this year, and if the Jags are competitive, Bradley could probably survive another 4-12, albeit with a very short leash/tight noose going into 2015.
I don't expect that, though. Unless Bradley and Caldwell completely blow the draft or sign Jerry Porter, Drayton Florence and Cleo Lemon to huge contracts in free agency, I'd put the worst-case scenario for the 2014 Jaguars right around 6-10.
