Ah yes, I missed the ol draft night spin. If people said these would be the picks a few hours ago people would have rightfully been irate. But since we are fanatics we'll twist ourselves into pretzels to fit our fanaticism.
I think they're both good players, just not what we need the most. I'd be fine with either one of them - if we had gone Oline with the the other pick...

If you would have told anyone a few hours ago that either of these guys would have been available at the time they were picked, you would have been laughed at. The value for these picks is there. The need for a CB is there. I'm not sure I would have pulled the trigger on about DE, but it's a solid pick.

There is no spin except from those that want to see us fail.

I would have told you Henderson would have been there at 9 lmao. And Chaisson was a popular pick in the 17-19 range purely because that's where the big drop off happened, not because he was just that good.

Josh Jones is there and there are about 4-5 guards who could start over Cann day one.

It's still the first round no matter who we took the rest of the draft could have addressed other stuff. We made two bad picks no matter how you slice the rest of the draft.

And we have tons of other picks to address the OL.

This team has so many holes that aren’t going to be fixed in the first round. We go OL and WR and we have people complaining how we didn’t get a CB.

Henderson was the clear cut #2 corner and was going top 15 at worst. And considering how bad teams reached for Terrell and Arnette, probably top 12. Not a bad pick.

I don’t like the Chiasson pick, would prefer a trade out or Jefferson, but not many other team were interested considering the surprisingly lack of trades tonight.

Not a single one of us would have complained if we took any of Wirfs, Wills, Jeudy, or Lamb over Henderson. And Jefferson was the obvious pick you are right there.

6 WRs in the first round. Almost seems like the NFL is all about scoring points these days.

I like what the 49ERS and Patriots did tonight.

Henderson was probably a reach by a half a dozen picks and filled a big need. I would have gone Wirfs, but I am not furious.

Chaisson was actually decent value, but I don’t see the need unless they envision him as a hybrid LB and designated pass rusher. I would have liked a trade up for one of the falling receivers.

I am meh on this draft. I hope both guys make me look silly and become dominant players.

You know that's a bold faced lie... The only thing this board does is complain and it wouldn't be any different no matter who we drafted.

I wanted kinlaw or Juedy if we didnt go OL when we were on the clock. I thought Henderson would be a sleeper pick because I didnt believe he would be there af 20 and feel he is the #2 corner. Wanted Jefferson at 20 but I'm not mad at all. Still alot more picks to come.

Packers: How do we help Rodgers? Draft his replacement! But he’s not even that old in QB years.

Nah the only thing this board does is spin draft picks that the board would have torn to shreds hours ago into being good picks. There's a reason we're drafting top 10 for the 12th time in 13 years, 4 more than any other team, and Dave is reason #1 at this point.

I understand if they wanted Henderson they had to take him there, and he is highly rated. It is just that all the pundits have talked about CB depth in this draft, so I wanted the OT who would likely start day 1. Plus I thought the whole point of a "Seattle-style defense" is that you can take CB later instead of having to use early picks on the position.

My worry with Chaisson is that he is really a pick for 2021 and 2022. Sure he will play this year, but it will take him some time to put all his tools together.
