I think we should trade the 3rd pick to Oakland for there 5th pick then select Watkins..

It makes sense Clowney and Manziel are gone before the 5th pick anyways.. Rumor has it that the texans are eyieng Bortles and Manziel.. if you don't believe it type it in google..

Bridgewater really ain't that great he's falling and bortles is clearly skyrocketed since his bowl win..

Like Jeremiah and Brooks said about us taking Watkins: The Jags can't have enough playmakers on the outside. the NFL is a passing league now. Also stated that GM Caldwell came from Atlanta a place that was heavy with playmaking WR..

I can see it now:

      Shorts III

      Blackmon (slot)

      Watkins

      Sanders

      Brown

I don't care which team it is any NFL team would die to have a WR corps like this..

Geno Smith was at the stop of everyone's mocks this time of year, RG3 was even ahead of a Luck on a few mocks in 2012

Cream always rises to the top

The only reason Bridgewater ain't great to you is because you neglect on using the matter between your ears and the pair of god given sight instruments

All this on top of the fact we have no one to throw to these guys

Wiseman there's no need to insult people, dude.

On topic, I don't agree with your thought. It's a nice idea, but in practice, we would need to play in either a naked-I formation, a two-TE/no hB set, or a 4 wide singleback formation every single down in order to get even the top four recievers on the field at once. Add in the fact that we have no QB, and it has to be dismissed. It would be nice but no.

Isn't this the guy who tried to say someone else's mock draft was his own?

Wonder who's 'bright' idea this is.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

I would be okay with this. It is certainly one direction that we could go. It would be nice for a new quarterback to have some real weapons at his disposal. Watkins will be special.

Everything I have read is the Texans do not want Johnny Manziel. He would be a misfit in the new offense. Bill O'Brien recruited a quarterback at Penn State who is not at all like Manziel, so it is believed he would want Blake Bortles. Bob McNair said he likes Jadeveon Clowney. I would wager the Texans do not pick Manziel.

They aren't getting Manziel, probably not even Bortles

Any team that is shouting from the rook tops that they want a player at this stage in the game are usually going in the complete opposite direction

I guess they want to see if Dave/Gus get fooled or the Brows are stupid enough to drop those two first round picks and maybe next years first in a potential trade up

Hackenberg at PSU is a complete stud, I would rank him a better qb than even Bortles at this point in time

Put it this way...Hackenberg is better than Winston

So what would be fair compensation for trading back 2 spots?

Boy it's amazing that we have 6 wins the past two years and we have all these amazing GMs just hanging out on these boards. "Bridgewater ain't that good anyway, he's falling and Bortles is rising since his bowl game." "...Don't believe me, Google it," were my favorite quotes

Because training picks is that easy.

i would only take watkins if we were picking at 8 from trading with the vikes and clowney barr bortles and mack were already gone

watkins is a very good player and blackmon may never come back but mike brown looked good last years as did ace sanders which gives us a solid trio even without blackmon

i think wide receiver and rb should both be left to the 4th or 5th provided the o line and d line have already been strengthened either through the draft or fa

I noticed on their respective fan message boards.....Cleveland and Oakland.......most people would rather their team NOT trade up. And a higher proportion would rather go Watkins. Even fans of TB, Minn., and ATL don't want to trade up. Of course, I know that means nothing. I was just surprised by the fact.

Minnesota's GM said he wants double digit picks - meaning trade down for at least two more. Of course, he did not say if that means trading in the first round.
