Always someone whining about no respect for this crappy team lol.

I think it was 2 years ago when they Titans just rolled over us on TNF, sure everyone wants to see that.

And last year we crushed the Titans on Thursday night.

It's irrelevant.

Jacksonville is a small market team that nobody outside of this immediate area wants to see.  I don't care how bad or good they are.  NFL is about bottom-line.

I don't get why some people get their panties in a twist about it.  Big [BLEEP] deal.

If that's the mindset then relocate this team to a market that the NFL cares about because someone who spends his hard earned money every year on season tickets among other things tired of the same ole disrespect. It's like our money don't matter and if that's the case then please move this team to London. I agree with everything you have saI'd but you and nobody else on here can't determine what matters to me.

I hate playing Indy in Week 17.  It's always meaningless and they let us win to screw our draft position.  Had we lost to them in 2019, we would have picked 6 and got Derrick Brown (DT Auburn -- the next warren sapp).  Then prior to that, we beat them and they ended up with the Number 1 pick -- Andrew Luck !!!   they are smarter than us.

being insulted about nobody wanting to watch a team that's had a top 10 pick every year but 1 this decade is a waste of energy. Add in theres no new HC/FO/shiny new first round QB + small market and you have a non viable prime time option. 

No we get shafted because we are a horrible franchise. The year we were actually good the national media was all over us weekly

Explain Cleveland or Tampa Bay as a football team before Tom Brady and do us a favor just be honest about the situation. I just named two teams that had the same type of success or lack thereof than us and yet, they get treated better than us which is not right.

Browns got treated like us until they got a shiny marketable #1 overall QB people want to watch + this year have a highly touted new coach + roster is a lot better. Its not that difficult. 

Bucs have barely had more prime time exposure to us in the last 5 years before Brady came but they also had some benefit of Winston + being in the same division as highly touted teams like the saints, falcons and panthers.  

its such a weird gripe to have. most NFL fans do not want to watch the jags in their spare time, and thats okay!

This would be a tough schedule even if we were a contending team.

The one thing that keeps thif from being a complete murderers row is the winnable games are early on-a young Miami team at home on a short week...Detroit at home.

But I see very few even matchups-much less favorable ones-after the bye.

One thing in particular that stands out about the Lions-Jaguars game scheduled for October 18 is the Lions have a bye the previous week.  Time will tell if that proves significant in the game.  Yet, there's no question that having the previous week off, before going to Jacksonville in mid October for a 1pm game, is favorable for a road team.....compared to playing the previous week.

Having that extra time to prepare could help the Lions.

NFL doesn't wan't to advertise this ATROCIOUS product, and people wonder "WHY?!?!?!". This isn't about being "fair" to markets, it's about money. Jags are a disgusting product and have been historically and we have ZERO marketability with no QB. You ask any casual fan about players on different teams, who do they name? The QUARTERBACK. The extra time of preparation is indeed an added potential benefit for the Lions.  

Part of the extra preparation time is getting ready for possible high heat and humidity.  Matt Patricia had at best a rocky 1st season as Lions HC.  Arguably, the highlight game from a positive standpoint for the Lions in that 2018 season was the Lions win at Miami.  It was also at 1pm,  the 3rd week of October, and it was hot and humid in suburban Miami that afternoon.  The Lions were also coming off a bye.  The Lions used hand held shade on the sideline and the hydration process for the players became well before the day of the game.

This is such stupid logic.  What is the big difference?  The only person that's it's 'disrespecting' is you.  I don't care what night, day, year, season, whatever it is...as long as there is a team here.  Having one of 32 franchises in the NFL is a pretty big damn sign of respect to me.  But, people love to play that respect card and this is the perfect opportunity.

And the second bolded point says it all.  It's what matters to you.  It has absolutely nothing to do with the team being disrespected.

Nobody cared when they were good.  Who cares about night games?  They're a disadvantage and disrupt a team's regular 'work week'.  I would bet that the players would prefer to play all of their games on Sundays and in the United States.  The NFL powers that be are money-grubbers and all the night games do is line their pockets.  Case and point.

I think what ppl are missing is the revenue factor.  When Minshew was winning and everyone was enjoying the wave and swag, the NFL saw dollar signs.  If a player or team is drawing fan favor, any marketing team will know to include them in whatever plans they can.  If the Jags suck, we get talked about in relocating news so the league/team/owner can make more money. 

Bottom line....If there's anything thats driving the narrative about the Jaguars, it's the play on the field.  
Team/player wins and starts trending, see more headlines and good sports debates including them.  Team losing....its not that hard really.

Edit: off topic but it kinda makes me tell myself that's why we got screwed in the championship game thru the end. Jags had a good Defense but a QB they publicly criticized year after year going against the hyped GOAT in the sport as a player and coach duo. We got lax so why they hell not blow the whistle on the myles jack play when It could be another Comeback story for the battle tested duo. Even Trent and the ravens had more overall respect as a team their year
