Drafting a Running Back
|
I like Ka'dem Carey but I don't like were we'd probably have to draft him. If he falls to the hird I would take him
Someone I'm going to watch a lot at the combo is Bibbs from Colorado. He really had a breakout year this year and he could have Alfred Morris sleeper potential in the later rounds ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:If we draft a RB it should be in the 5th round or later thats for sure. Maybe that kid from Colorado St.Yes, Bibbs would be a great option on day 3. So many great options that late, it would be quite silly to take one with a day 2 pick IMO.

Quote:No running back in the third round, please. We need to pick an offensive lineman there. Why? Are there a limited number of Offensive Lineman in the draft and the last will be selected in Round 3?
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

I remember watching the Coloroda St. vs Washington St. game and no doubt he stood out to me. I actually wondered if he was entering the draft after watching that game. Zac Stacy like build and speed.
Shock the world

Quote:Why? Are there a limited number of Offensive Lineman in the draft and the last will be selected in Round 3? Because we need to upgrade two or three OL positions and don't have a center. Quote:Carlos Hyde is projected to go in the first round.A GM needs to be punched in the beak if they take him in the first. Second is even debatable.
Quote:A GM needs to be punched in the beak if they take him in the first. Second is even debatable. Apparently you never read the article I did that said he is projected to be a first round pick. It was a while back so I can't give you a link, but believe me, that is his projection. No, I am not being a homer. Just saying that a GM who takes a RB from this class in the first round needs to get slapped. The value is not there at all. We show less advertisements to registered users. Just putting my 2 cents but I like James White as a 5th (maybe as high as 4th) round prospect. He might be the best all around back in the draft...
I compare him to Jonathan Stewart (Carolina Panthers), but without the injury problems...hopefully...
Quote:I didn't imply that you were. Just saying that a GM who takes a RB from this class in the first round needs to get slapped. The value is not there at all. OK, just making sure because I don't have a link. So even Tre Mason is not good enough for the first round?
Quote:OK, just making sure because I don't have a link. That would be correct. There was nobody that stood out that well plus the value of running backs are at an all time low with it being such a passing league.
Titansequaltrash aka my mini me. Follows me around like a cute puppy dog.

If you have to say "maybe" a fourth round pick, he should still be available at Ravens 4. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:That would be correct. There was nobody that stood out that well plus the value of running backs are at an all time low with it being such a passing league. Try telling the Seahawks that. Marshawn Lynch carried their offense to the Super Bowl. Yes, it is a passing league, but there will probably will always be at least one conservative team in the NFL. I thought Tre Mason stood out when I watched the SEC Championship Game. Missouri let him run over 300 yards. A bad running back can't do that even if the run defense sucks.
Quote:There is no "correct hand." It is all about how he holds it in his hand. You're cute.
This is way too deep a RB draft to spend any pick higher than a 4th. I would love Jeremy Hill, Storm Johnson, or Kapri Bibbs later in the draft compared to any of the earlier picks. No thanks to Mason or Carey. They both have way too much mileage on them already.
long playing record but i'll keep saying james white in the 5th or 6th
right round to take a rb and has the skills to be an everydown back technically proficient with good hands feet and can block another low to the ground back that has a knack for riding the first hit and getting yards though he does benefit from wisconsins line his vision is exceptional he cuts well and explodes through the gap with solid acceleration good bit of film of him against south carolina http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pla...Rka1AlwtnQ We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:OK, just making sure because I don't have a link.Running backs unless they're like the most awesome RB ever in the last 10 years that can carry a team AP style to the playoffs probably wont' be drafted in the 1st round anymore because of the fact that there is a ton of RB's that come out every year. More and more late round and UDFA are appearing and doing just as well as the first rounder which if i were a GM i would take notice and use valuable 1 and 2nd day picks on positions that are more difficult to get. I mean look at Rashad Jennings. even after being a flop here when he had the chance he killed it when McFadden went out. As much as I love the ground game RB's aren't a big part of the game anymore unless they can do all three aspects of the position in outstanding fashion. If not you're just going to get a stable of RBs ![]()

If there is a downard trend, I can agree with waiting untl 4-5. |
