New York City’s Annual 9/11 light Installation canceled over coronavirus

I think the important thing to remember here is that we should just trust our politicians and keep our opinions to ourselves.

You should hold your politicians accountable. You should share your opinion about what your politicians are doing. You should not trust them unless they've earned it. But Bill DeBlasio is not your politician. Lenny Curry is (I assume). Ron Desantis is. Donald Trump is. Hold them accountable. You shouldn't care either way about what DeBlasio is doing.

You clowns didn't even read the article. Mayor DeBlasio or the hated "left" had nothing to do with the cancellation, the event is sponsored and produced by National September 11 Memorial & Museum, they decided to cancel. Also, it wasn't cancelled due to concerns over the crowd, it was concern for the large crew required to stage the event.
But don't let facts get in the way of your feeding frenzy.
If something can corrupt you, you're corrupted already.

Homebiscuit was the first to say the mayor was involved. I took his word for it.

Anyone notice that the three stooges are constantly commenting against America and its values. They got their Soros welfare check and they're now living la vida loca

I still have a hard time believing the "large crew" getting Covid. Seems like a stretch. Regardless, I will retract my statements in this thread, except for the dig at Mikesez. C'mon, the National September 11 Memorial & Museum folks take their mission seriously. What other motivation would they have? I get it. Getting your digs in is what's important on a message board.

I believe I pointed out to you that it had nothing to do with the city or tax revenue had you bothered reading the article in the OP. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. At some point you just have to let go of what you thought should happen and live in what is happening.

Not just the business closings but the large exodus of people who are discovering they no longer need to live in the city with work from home options. Either rents will have to be reduced or they face a future of residential and retail vacancies.
