James Robinson opens up as week 1 starter

I'm not making any prediction. I just know that he really impressed me at the Shrine Game and if he can continue that kind of running, he will be a success in the NFL. He needs the O-Line to open holes for him though. A RB is only as good as their O-Line.

He is a patient runner with really good vision. He's not that fast but he is like a bowling ball and doesn't go down easy.
Those traits can and have worked well in the NFL. Hopefully he can make those traits work for him at this level. Intriguing guy.
I just watched his interview from Friday. Love this kid's low key demeanor. Looks like he's ready to prove himself with his actions. I'm not saying he's Barry Sanders, but his humbleness reminds me of Barry. A nice contrast to what we have seen over the years. Really pulling for this kid more now.
As a side note, in regards to the speed issue with Robinson, Clyde Edwards-Helaire's 40 time was 4.61, and he looked pretty good the other day for the Chiefs. Robinson was 4.64.

RB's rarely run in a straight line. They are always zigging a zagging to avoid tacklers. Gimme a guy who is slower with great feet, balance and vision over a faster runner any day of the week. Going to be honest here, Robinson has shown a lot more than LF has - even just in the first game of the season.
This is probably gonna be perceived as a salty fan writing this but I don't really care about Leonard. Robinson showing great elusiveness, speed, decisiveness, breaking tackles. It was nice to see a rb not run into the back of his olineman, he actually has some vision. I don’t think he is a special talent but he can be very effective runner.

With Robinson established as a valid threat, I hope to see more pass option plays.

This is a results-oriented business. There are no trophies or titles given for "moral victories" or for "winning the draft". Our record with DC is 37-86. 6-10 is our 2nd best season in 8 years of Caldwell leadership. These are the FACTS.

Which is why Thompson played a lot more in the 2nd half. If I’m looking at this correctly he has 210 rush yards and 3td. Plus over 100 yards receiving in only 3 games this year! I think we definitely found our star rb. He ran very hard tonight. And we all see the elusiveness. It was a thing of beauty seeing his 2nd td tonight where the defensive tackle pushed our guard back into his face and he still dove into the end zone and just made the play of not being denied. 4Net would’ve been stuffed 3 plays in a row.

It's pretty bad when an UDFA rookie is looking around and probably wondering if Yannick Ngakoue had a point.
