Manziel looked almost "undraftable" late this season

"He played two games this year, LSU and Missouri,(and) if those were the first two games you put on and watched, you'd say he was almost undraftable," Cosell said. "He was so bad in those two games, that you'd struggle to figure out, can I even draft this guy?"

I don't know that I'd go THAT far in downgrading Manziel, but after re-watching cutups he seems like a humongous risk--much moreso than Bortles or Teddy.  Certainly a back half of the first at best prospect if the QB draft were stronger or there weren't so many QB hungry teams.

How LSU and to a lesser extent Missouri played him will be exactly how NFL teams play him

Never been a fan of Manziel, I've watched all his games this season and still not a fan

sucks this QB class seems to be so full of question marks. David's got his work cut out for him that's for sure.

It's pretty much always like that. QB is always such a question mark position. Nobody is a sure thing.

Not any more questions marks than 99% of the quarterbacks in previous drafts.

Manziel played with a hurt thumb the last two games which clearly affected his throws downfield. The LSU game had horrible wr play in which they were dropping balls and running wrong routes he also ran a lot more in the last two games. In the Missouri game you could tell they adjusted the gameplan to quick throws which the defense picked apart. Saying all that I rank manziel barely ahead of teddy and both of them way ahead bortles. But what I really think is the jaguars draft neither because if you look at the last draft class Caldwell does not draft injury prone players even though both these players played through their injuries and showed toughness.

No offense, but Manziel is easily the 3rd best qb behind Bridgewater and Bortles

He looked pretty good against Duke, but yes I see what you mean. However, Death Valley at night is almost an impossible place to leave with a W. Mizzou also had the luxury of playing them last with plenty of tape to watch and being at home. I will agree though, he played questionable in the last two regular season game

If you had that as your sig or posted it before this last season, I could give credence.

This list means nothing to me however

I posted it last year after the combine where I'll be doing it again this year you can't find it because they redid the boards before you ever started posting here

IMO, this year's draft is just the norm.  We have prospects with question marks (Stafford, Newton, Bradford, Ryan, Rodgers) instead of "sure-fire" greats (Luck).  I think the Luck-RG3-Wilson draft has poisoned the minds of some into thinking that QB is never worth taking unless he's Luck.

This draft compares favorably to the 2011 draft. Newton, Locker, Gabbert, Ponder, Dalton, Kaepernick.

More like Carr, Harrington, Russel, Leftwich, Sanchez, and Clausen.

Minus the Newton.  It's a horror show at the top of this crop.  Everyone is force fitting their favorite pick because there's no superstar, and that's always bad news.

Pirks your forcing it.

Bridgewater is this years Cam

Cam wasn't even in the top 10 of peoples draft boards come draft time

That whole "minus the Newton" is a crock

Nice Pee Wee Herman retort ("I know you are but what am I?")

Bridgewater is absolutely nothing like Cam (who I don't think is much more than another Michael Vick in the long run.)

Cam won a championship and charmed his way to the top of the draft.  Bridgewater doesn't have that capacity.  He's a reclusive child who doesn't have the body to take punishment in the NFL.  He doesn't have the hardware, personality, or even the elite tools to push himself over the top.

LOL... yet I'm the one "forcing" it...

Come on pirks, Bridgewater may not have Cam's physical tools (but who does) but he was leaps and bounds better as a qb coming out.

When I compare the two, I am talking about the disparity between those two and the rest of the qbs of their respective classes.

Its not about charming or championships, Cam was just the best qb in the draft.

How did you come to the conclusion that he is reclusive? he is quiet, but certainly not recluse '

He may not have an rpg attached to his arm, but few qbs in the league do,

His brain, accuracy (timing, anticipation touch) are elite

His arm is good to great, and he has elite pocket presence

Yes you are forcing it
