The Telemundo debate poll is concerning for Bidem.

I think when it's not a person's time to talk, they should cut off his microphone.  Enforce some discipline.  

Better yet, do the whole thing by Zoom or something.  That way, if a person is interrupting, you see his mouth moving, but no sound.

That shouldn't even be considered for a Presidential debate. Sadly, that would have been ideal last night and thanks mainly to Trump. I'm one of the people who appreciate his pugilistic style, especially against a system that is skewed towards the left. Last night, though, he took that style to self defeating lengths. Continuously talking over Biden and Wallace was unnecessarily obstinate.

I am a supporter and agree he was too much at times. All he had to do in some cases was let Biden continue to talk and that would have helped him.

TBH, I don't think it would hurt Trump if Biden decided to avoid the next two debates for a couple reasons:

1. Wallace was the best opportunity Trump had at a fair debate
2. The optics of Biden camp declining last 2 debates is bad
3. Trump got what he wanted out of the outcome. Get Joe on record for not adopting the far left policies and re-confirm the lack of support from Hispanics.

Biden's opportunity to denounce court packing will make some people who loathe DT still vote for him. This debate did nothing to motivate people to vote, but it did motivate people to probably not vote.

I think Joe Rogan was on the fence, and I imagine he swings decisively to the left after this debate, which could ultimately hurt Trump. Biden had no major gaffes and conducted himself in a more Presidential manner. Furthermore, he didn't show any signs of mental degradation. The fence sitters have to be convinced that Trump is a better choice, and that absolutely didn't happen last night. It would have been huge if Trump came out on top tonight. He did terrible in his first debate last election, too, but improved on his next two. If Biden doesn't do the next two, Trump won't have a chance to correct himself. Wish the guy could control himself a bit more.

I respectfully disagree with you saying Biden conducted himself in a presidential manner. He told him to shut up on multiple occasions and also called him a clown twice. Biden was on his way over the cliff about Hunter until Wallace continuously jumped in to save him. I don't put a ton of weight in the outcome of this debate but for the life of me can't understand why Trump wouldn't take the "let him keep talking" approach to bury himself. 

I am also not a fan of using pandemics to score political points while said pandemic is still going on. 

At the end of the day, you know one of these guys CAN run a county and you aren't sure if the other guy can. That carries weight IMO. You know what you are getting with Trump. The other guy is a gamble.

Trump did himself no favors. As usual could not contain himself when required by protocol, just like he does on that damn twitter. Biden was Biden, COVID COVID COVID, clearly not Trumps fault and blaming him makes Biden appear simple. Nobody that was on the fence will be swayed by his performance.. I said more Presidential manner. The thing about politicians, is their ability to relay empathy with people, even when they don't mean it. Biden wasn't perfect, but he stood there and conveyed his points with a temperance that Trump lacks. Obviously they both interrupted each other and called each other names, but Trump came across as the instigator in most of those interactions, which, by contrast, made Biden out to be the more reasonable candidate. To the casual viewer, I think Biden's gaffes faded into the background.

I don't think Trump lost any of his supporters, but he certainly lost some independents who were on the fence. 

I agree that he should've kept quiet. The longer Biden talks, the more mistakes he makes. That should've been the strategy for trump, but the man has serious self control issues and that was on full display last night from the highlights I saw. 

I don't think it will reflect badly at all on Biden if he pulls out of the debates. That wasn't even a debate it was a pushy, domineering, bully with narcissistic tendencies completely trying to drown out everyone else, including the moderator. Debates with Trump are pointless. He won't let anyone else speak. He's gotten way worse since his debates with Hillary. 

As far as Biden not being on board with the far left side of the party, duh! He never was. I'm not even remotely a Biden supporter and I've known that for years. Anyone who has taken any time at all to study the candidates should've been aware of that. He and Democrats like AOC couldn't be more different. She's a radical. 

People will definitely still vote. They will just do it from home. Ohio is receiving a record number of absentee ballot request. According to my local news, the majority being from Independent voters, which surprised me.

Yeh..  he only wants to spend 1.7 trillion on new green deal light and put her on the climate task force.  

Most liberal platform by anyone running for a major party by far, and its not even close.  

The true impact of media bias is the ability to make everything a referendum on the right and never seriously criticize the left.  

We heard the terms white supremacy, proud boys, Kenosha etc.  What about David Dorn?  The cops shot in LA.  BLM.  Wallace called the 1619 project "racial sensitivity training"

At one point, Biden actually told Wallace that he wouldn't answer his question, and Wallace let him skate on it. Wallace made sure to fact check Trump and went easy on Biden.

Trump was too aggressive/annoying, and Biden wouldn't answer questions and lied throughout the entire event. I think it was a bad debate for both sides, but I think Biden probably gained more from it just because Trump came off so strong.

The Trump campaign hung way too much on the idea that antagonizing him would cause him to crumble with dementia.  The opposite was true.  This wasn't about self control it was a strategic error.  Look @ the ABC town hall.  He can be more likeable while refuting a premise.  

Joe Biden has a problem with his constituents.  They don't like him, they Despise Trump.  That translates into a major enthusiasm gap.  If Trmp comes off as someone you dont HATE then there's a lot of people who just stay home.  Big missed oppurtunity.

After finally watching it today I must agree with many others.  It was a circus, not a debate.  President Trump should have kept his mouth shut or at least more under control.  He certainly didn't help himself and in fact might have hurt himself after that [BLEEP] show.

I’m not ready to say it’s a wire, but it doesn’t look to me like it’s a wrinkle in the video I saw. It pops out after he moves something under his jacket. I thought it was a wrinkle before I saw the video.
