That's all well and good, but he's botched countless punts (and a few kick returns, I think) and then bit on the exact same play almost two plays in a row.

It's one thing if he was getting beat by guys in pass coverage, but he's just beating himself at this point. I've yet to see anything from him that would warrant wasting a roster spot on him.
