NFL.Com Draft Grades Are Up
|
Loaded with lots and lots of controversies for sure. The grades appear to be in the hands of some guy named Nolan Nawrocki.
Here's the link to 2014 players ranked according to a 1 to 10 grade scale. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/tracker/by...t-by-grade

He called Bortles "Big Be" hahahahahah
Bridgewater "Alex Smith" eh, we shall see Manziel Rex Grossman, Ryan Leaf makeup, Fran Tarkenton playing style and Russell Wilson playmaking ability I think the Leaf stuff is ridiculous, Rex Grossman?????? I am not even a Manziel fan but I disagree with that
So no player even comes close to a 10? Don't know what's the point of even having a grading scale like that. How Clowney or at last Greg Robinson don't grade out to at least better than an 8 is beyond me.

Quote:Lol they're letting Nawrocki do their draft grades? The dude compared Manziel to Rex Grossman, I have lost all respect for his analysis
Im still confused on how he compared Bortles to Big Ben and Bridgewater to Alex Smith yet Bridgewater has the stronger arm of the two
I read somewhere else somebody compared Johnny Manziel to Tony Romo. I will never understand that one.

Interesting. Seems like his opinion is what we thought; not too many "stars" but a lot of depth. Seems like he grades pretty tough since no prospect was above an 8. For what it's worth; I liked the analysis of Donte Moncrief who is still my "guy" for this draft.

I see Andre Johnson in him
Quote:That's like the complete opposite. I know. The only quarterback I would compare Johnny Manziel to is Russell Wilson.
Quote:He called Bortles "Big Be" hahahahahahI see bortles is like Big Ben without the arm and just weaker overall The teddy comparison is legit but with Rodgers upside could go either way maybe ends up like either if he has to start right away (smith) or falls in drAft and has a place to sit for awhile like Aaron The manziel comparison to grossman comparison is due to hype/place he went in draft before he was talked up to first rounder I originally thought he was a 2nd 3 rd rounder which is prolly where he should go I originally wAnted him with 2nd pick but seems not likely the rest of the comparison is legit with the exception of Ryan leaf where his attitude or makeup is not as bad Last year I said if there is a possibility of a qb dropping to 2nd round then he should not be a top pick as I said with geno last year and As I feel with manziel I don't think the value is there but he is better than geno do idk Also as a side note manziel not throwing at the combine dropped him down for me as he is not willing to compete and thinking he's got it which is not the model around here still think he's a playmaker though and a FOOTBALL player

The grade categories have changed a lot from last year. Though I do find it odd that he grades Logan Thomas above Jimmy Garoppolo.

The only quarterback I would compare Johnny Manziel to is Russell Wilson.Romo and Manziel biggest quality is to improvise and create offense in chaos. Russell Wilson is not the same type of player at all, he's got a better arm and he is way more structured than them.

Nawrocki said Bridgewater was not a particularly elusive scrambler. If nothing else Smith has always been an elusive scrambler. It's his calling card. Nawrocki also said Bridgewater throws receivers open. Smith has struggled with accuracy for much of his career. I don't see many similarities. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
Quote:The Bridgewater comparison to Alex Smith is patently ridiculous. Completely agree. I found that odd as well.

Nawrocki did the draft preview booklet for Pro Football Weekly before it sadly went belly up last year. He succeeded highly respected Joel Buschbaum. Nawrocki received notoriety from his scathing write up of Can Newton. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
