Good players can be drafted anywhere

That is true, but if you're playing the odds, a QB drafted in the 1st round is far more likely to be successful than one drafted in the 6th round.

Our D line sucks and our O line sucks.

I don’t think anyone is saying Tlaw fixes everything- but we are saying Tlaw fixes the QB position.

Draft's a crap shoot. TL is tall and skinny, he may not even hold up physically in the NFL.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Finally, someone sees the big picture.  You are 100% right.  He spends 3/4 of the game running for his life and he is expected to play like Brady or Rodgers.  This is the worse bunch of players in the NFL.  Very few would make it on other teams.  The coaches are terrible and the man upstairs doesn't care and won't do anything to make a  change.

I don't need you to tell me something like that bud.

For every one of those, you have a bunch of washouts.

Possibility vs probability.

Is it possible? Yes. Is it probable? No.

maybe we're just asking him to do too much... I mean seriously man...

This!

QBs are made by a combination of their abilities and their O-Line. We have no OL to speak of. Rarely does a pocket form. Any QB would struggle amid a collapsing OL, a run game that isn’t respected by opposing defenses (that we don’t use enough for some reason) and a myriad of receivers who can’t hold on to catchable balls. It’s a hard situation for anyone.

Khan isn't concerned about wins.  It's all about the $$$.

I don’t have any faith anymore. We needed this win badly and couldn’t get it. Til next time folks

Yes. Brady, Rogers, anyone would be getting his [BLEEP] handed to him with this offensive line protecting him. Minshew is fine. Get him some help defensively and on the O line.

I drop that to point out that it can happen, and a 1st round QB is no guarantee of success either. In fact, our 6th rounder is playing better in my opinion than any 1st round QB we’ve ever drafted.

Possible is good enough for me. The kid is lightning. He can’t control bad defense, he can’t control dropped catches, he can’t control bad play calling. He’s a 2nd year player, he’s not going to be perfect even if he were drafted #1 overall. He’s made some mistakes, but y’all acting like he’s Gabbert, and that just ain’t the case. If you fix the rest of the team around him good things will happen. That’s all I’m saying and I know that’s what others are saying as wel.

Yep. That statement Khan made last week regarding it only being the first quarter of the season shows he only cares about dollars to be made and not about team improvement. The problem begins with him!

I think we all know that QB isn't our only weak position.. basically all positions are. But the QB position is by far the most important, and Minshew isn't a franchise QB. I'd rather us draft a QB like TLaw or Fields, and then fill in the other positions from there.

A solid QB will mask some of the holes on this offense. Drafting O-Line and D-Line won't give Minshew the arm strength to make deep throws on the regular.

"Possible" is what happens when we pass on guys like Roethlisberger because we have Leftwich or leaving Mahomes for Leonard 2.4nette.

All I'm saying is that Minshew is not it coach. He's a 6th round draft pick and his play on the field is showing why. Not a knock on him - just doesn't have it.

It’s not all about stats. If minshew never completes a pass over 30 yards but maintains a high completion % and it puts points on the board then who cares. Everyone gets so caught up trying to emulate that KC offense and it can’t be done. We need to find our OWN way to win and we can do that with minshew. If our defense didn’t give up 30+ points per game the last 4 games our record might be very different

The magic is dead. Fundamental flaws which can’t be fixed. He’s done a great job for a 6th round pick, but this isn’t the future

So by that logic we should draft a QB in the 1st round every year no matter what? Sure eventually we will wind up with the best QB in the league (maybe) with an extremely weak team around him and win nothing.
