But we're not talking about tweaking the millage rate for the schools or hiring more teachers or firing some teachers or anything like that.
We are talking about whether half a million votes will be counted, or not.
You have to go all the way back to 1776 to find such an abuse of the democratic process on this continent.
And those British appointed governors and tax collectors that we sent home with tar and feathers were mostly smart enough to not even bring their children onto this continent.
When you come to understand that the only alternative to voting, and fairly counting all votes, is massive violence, this will make more sense. Counting votes is not another one of these political shell games that we can manipulate for partisan ends like drawing districts or choosing judges.  If you don't count the votes right, inevitably you start counting the numbers of men and of guns instead.

That woman's kids have exactly nothing to do with votes being counted fairly and everything to do with being used as political pawns and as bait for being bullied. None of us knows the real truth about what went down, only the people who were involved. Unless there are raw voice or video recordings of wrongdoing from all parties we can only take the word of what those people said happened and that's filtered by the media. Everyone involved has an agenda and I doubt the truth is part of it.

If I was in this situation and had a kid and someone doxxed the color of their hair, never mind their name and school, hell itself couldn't contain the rage and discontent I'd bring down on that joker. And that's saying something because like I said, no maternal bone in my body, but wrong is wrong and adults have no business bringing kids into their jacked up fights.

If it is illegal under Michigan law to post on social media about the name, school, and hair color of a public official's kid, then I hope whoever did it is prosecuted.

Do you think that would solve the problem? I don't.

Do you think letting this woman get away with throwing away half a million votes would have been a better idea?

Something doesn’t have to be illegal for it to be seriously wrong. Sheesh. Only you would argue that is even ever somewhat okay to do this kind of thing.

Plus you’re assuming that the people holding out on certification are wrong about there being an issue with the votes.

I asked two questions and got zero answers.
Instead I got a false statement about what I'm trying to argue, and another false statement about my assumptions.

There is nothing false about either of my statements. And you asked americus those questions, not me. There’s only two women on the board, it’s not hard to keep up with which is which.

I don't have you two confused at all. As you correctly acknowledge, my post and the questions in it were addressed to someone else.
I would have no problem at all with you butting in and answering the two questions. And I'd have no problem at all with you explaining why you thought the questions were unfair,
But you butted in and didn't even *acknowledge* the questions.
I find that a little odd.  Who taught you to socialize that way?

Butted in on a public message board? Now I’ve heard everything! And I find it really odd that you seem to think I care what you would or would not have a problem with.  Laughing

Nope. Unless someone is having a legitimate issue that falls under my Super Moddess powers, I don’t care what they have a problem with.

That's fair at least.
But I wouldn't come here if I didn't care about the likes and dislikes of other people. Because if I'm going to tick anyone off, I want it to be on purpose.  I don't want to accidently say something most people dislike without realizing that most people dislike it.

Just because it happens a lot doesn't mean I want it to happen a lot.
Besides, this is a tough crowd.  They have a lot of dislikes I already know about.

We'd have each other, though.  We'd be able to +3 each other every day while we gang up and -6 some pathetic target, and all he'd ever get to do is -3 us back.  So our score would stay the same and his would keep going down.
Now that I say it all, though, it sounds really dumb and petty.
Can't believe anyone ever contrived to do that to anyone else.
