***Official NFL Combine Measurements Thread***
|
Tomorrow and Friday are the weigh ins and measurements for the combine.
Interesting things. Will Teddy be the first first round pick QB with hands smaller than 9 inches? Will Teddy be over 200? Will Johnny be over 6'0? Will Bortles really be 6'5. Are Mike Evans and Kelvin Benjamin really 6'5? Is Clowney over 270? Will Teddy be over 6'2? Will Seastrunk be 6'1? Will D'Anthony Thomas be over 200?
A lot of people talk about Manziel’s arm strength negatively, but I don’t see why. He has a very strong arm. From what I’ve seen, in terms of pure arm strength, I’d put him second above Bridgewater
and behind Mariota. He is able to throw the ball for chunks of yardage at a time through the air, and honestly he could probably throw it a whole lot further if he put his weight behind it (he has footwork issues which I’ll address later). One thing I was also pleasantly surprised with was his touch. He knows how to control the arc of the ball pretty well, but it’s not fantastic. I would also put him second in this category, with Mariota at third (Bridgewater is far and away the best touch passer in the country.) Anyway, I digress. He is also, as you can see from the statistics, very accurate. 80% accuracy against the best team in the country isn’t normal. It’s very good. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:Tomorrow and Friday are the weigh ins and measurements for the combine.Your too young to be posting here You don't even know Bridgewater's hand measurements and obviously never heard of Mike Vick, he had 8 3/4 inch hands

Can't this be in the Official Combine Thread?
Somebody on here said Johnny Manziel has bigger hands than Teddy Bridgewater. Quote:Vick was a 1-1 pick too Teddy is nowhere near the freakish athlete Vick was, either.

Quote:Can't this be in the Official Combine Thread? Much bigger. There's a reason Bridgewater is more comfortable throwing with gloves, and it's not because of fashion.

Quote:Much bigger. There's a reason Bridgewater is more comfortable throwing with gloves, and it's not because of fashion. Jon Kitna has small hands and did not wear gloves. Peyton Manning has big hands and started wearing gloves last year. What is your point? Quote:To Assume makes a [BAD WORD REMOVED] out of U and ME No, just you.

Quote:Jon Kitna has small hands and did not wear gloves. The point is the last time he threw without a glove (when he arrived at Louisville,) he threw an interception and he's worn them ever since. If I were scouting him I'd like to see him throw the entire day without them, just to see that he's not hiding something.

Quote:The point is the last time he threw without a glove (when he arrived at Louisville,) he threw an interception and he's worn them ever since. But if he can wear gloves in an NFL game and throws perfectly with them. What would be the point??? Quote:The point is the last time he threw without a glove (when he arrived at Louisville,) he threw an interception and he's worn them ever since.Nitpicking homeboy.

Quote:No way do Texans not take him first overallI see him with Rg3 level arm strength on top of it too Texans would be morons not to take him, but their loss I just hope Dave keeps gassing up the Johnny Hype Machine so the Texans feel the need to take Johnny Boy Quote:I see him with Rg3 level arm strength on top of it tooIt is likely Teddy/Clowney go 1&2. I don't think Dave is interested in Manziel/Bortles/Matthews. This leaves us with Watkins/Mack/Barr third overall or trade down if some team is in love with Manziel/Bortles. |
