Haha, rotate each drive. Mix in Cole also (I think he is the emergency QB).

I think Taven should get another look. Full workload though, no rotation. Could just be a late bloomer

Man. Nerves are starting to kick in that the Jags are going to win another game.

Do not like.

LOL.  I would love to see the Jaguars win the final two games just to see the meltdown that would ensue.

Would you now?

Honestly, that coach and team wants to win more than everything and they have been trying really really hard.  How has that worked out for us all?  Honestly seeing a bunch of ticked off posters on what is left of these forums would be more of the same.  Heck the Jets game day thread was humming along just on the possibility they would win.  Do you really think 2 meaningless wins would be better for the offseason or a franchise first pick overall in the 2021 draft?

You must not be a fan of the team then. Such a move would set the team back 5 more years.

Not if we hire a competent GM.  I won't be as nice as if we draft TL AND hire a competent GM, but still, I think a competent GM would be able to figure out the QB situation and get this team on the right track.

Drafting Trevor makes everything easier.

Now obviously you’re right. They need to hire a competent GM who won’t break Lawerence like the Colts did Luck but I think many GMs learned that lesson from Grigsons big mistakes.

And what would a few meaningless wins at the end of this season do? Momentum into next season? Not even close. That’s been proven time and time again to be false. Especially with a new GM and HC next year.

After the initial uproar, this MB would wither away into the abyss.

They need to can Marone now, and replace him with an interim coach with the instructions to play practice squad players for the next two games.

Marone has nothing to lose going for the wins. He might see it as a great way to thumb his nose at Jacksonville on the way out.

And here’s old Doug still making comments about winning. Claims he doesn’t care about the future and is here to win now. I would fire that piece of [BLEEP] on the spot. Not giving a damn about the future of the franchise? [BLEEP] that. If we walk into one of these next two games with the lead at half time, he should be fired before they take the field in the second half.

He’s saying everyone has an opinion. Umm.... no. The benefits between having the first pick and second pick are not people’s opinion. The bologna northern guy was bearable until his stupidity has/could set this franchise back another decade.

I get he can’t say anything else but if you are going to say something stupid like what he just did, don’t do the [BLEEP] press conference or don’t comment.

[BLEEP] moron.

Complete the mission . Doug’s coaching got us here, so we might as well keep him for the ride

As much as I dislike Doug, he has to say this type of stuff. He still needs employment after the Jaguars.

Look at it like Chunk on the Goonies. If you want something broken, you hand it to Chunk. He isn't trying to break it, but it will break, and everyone knows it.

Doug = Chunk.

We will lose this weeks game giving it our all. It's the Indy game that has me concerned.

I was thinking the same thing. I hope the Colts still have a reason to win in the last game.

These players and coaches are professionals.  Period.  Their job is to win games.  Period.  I really couldn't care less if the Jaguars pick #1 overall or #20.  If they ever stop trying to win, no matter the record, that's when I stop being a fan.

Herm Edwards had it right.

Just out of curiosity, how does one identify when a 1-13 team "Stops trying to win". When a HC's natural instincts are in-line with what normal people would consider tanking, the line gets a little fuzzy.

So you would rather a win against the Bears this week than multiple possible SB's and the best QB prospect since Peyton Manning?  I dont think anyone is saying the players should try to lose just as a fan this is a possibly a one in a lifetime opportunity for us and we need these next 2 losses to get one of the All time great QB prospects.

That is a perfect analogy of Marrone.
