Quote:I was being facetious. I obviously don't care that he's only 6 feet. Kid is a winner and IMO literally the Russell Wilson of the draft meaning he will make the throws you need him to make while making a few spectacular plays a game that's puts the team in position to win. Would be an unbelievable steal in the fifth round. Finally somebody agrees with me! Connor Shaw would be an absolute steal. Would love for him to be a Jag. Not to mention i'm a Gamecocks fan so that'd be so sweet.

I know what you mean about being a Gamecocks fan. I am always happy to see a Buckeye on Jacksonville's roster. However I never want a player just because he is a Buckeye if I think he would suck. Connor Shaw is never mentioned with the other guys like Aaron Murray, Zach Mettenberger, and A.J. McCarron who played for top 10 teams in the SEC. That makes me think he is not a great QB. Quote:link? I hadn't seen this. Quote:You think pirks would provide a link?? hahahahahahahaha It starts at the one minute mark. Though I took it more like Caldwell was talking about rookie QBs in general and not specifically the top of this class. http://www.jaguars.com/media-gallery/vid...a7cdac698f

After that part of Caldwell's PC, the video goes to Bill Polian saying #3 is too high to pick a quarterback if you don't know he will be the franchise guy. In other words, Clowney would make more sense. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:It starts at the one minute mark. I knew they wouldn't look for it themselves.

The only QB in this draft who could start right away is Teddy based on his criteria, but I think he's talking about QBs in general. I dunno. We'll hopefully get better no matter who we snag.

Quote:The game vs Mizzou this year sold me in his ability to win in the NFL. Single handedly won the game when it looked like all was lost. Yes I know about that one and 99% of people don't. (Caldwell probably knows) Didn't play until the 4th quarter because of a sprained knee and was sick the whole week. He didn't practice or go through walk throughs or anything. He then comes in 4th quarter and throws for over 200 yards and 3 TDs and SC won in OT. I would bet that if we don't select a QB 3rd overall and we took two QBs later like Shaw and Mccaron.. Shaw would start opening day.

Quote:She don't know about Spurrier if she is asking that. Shaw would easily beat out Henne and Gabbert. Oh 100% he would. And he wouldn't put up big numbers right away but he would be efficient and give us a chance to win and just slowly get better and better...
Shock the world
Quote:She don't know about Spurrier if she is asking that. Shaw would easily beat out Henne and Gabbert. It is not about Spurrier. It is about Shaw. If Shaw is not good enough to win games with his arm, the Gamecocks are going to be conservative despite the fact their coach is a former quarterback. Quote:It is not about Spurrier. Quote:It's Spurriers system which has never been conservative. And they won a lot of their games because of Shaw, trust me. Maybe people are not talking about him because they are going crazy about one of his teammates. Jadeveon Clowney overshadows everyone else. Quote:Hold on there, broseph. I actually did. But you made the claim, you provide the proof. Actually, I owe you nothing. Ever. As I say in my sig, don't believe a word and look it up yourself. You just might learn something on your own. It's not like you're likely to believe what I say anyway with the attitude you give. So be it.
