Teddy Bridgewater is a legit 6'3 and 214, now hush.

Not true. Everything they say is smokescreen. I know that because I read a lot of conflicting reports coming from Houston and don't know what to believe.

Quote:The critiques of Bridgewater have centered around SoS and size

No critique on his game or mental make up...

There's also questions about whether he's just a product of his system. Lots of short-intermediate passes that help inflate stats.

You realize about 90% of NFL passes qualify as short or intermediate right?

If you can't throw it over the defense you won't do well with the short and intermediate stuff, either.

Tom Brady is one of the worst deep ball passers in the league every year except when he had the best deep ball WR of all time in Randy Moss.

Also, Teddy's 20+ yard comp % is 51% and he threw 20+ almost 15% of the time, both of which are very competitive %s in relation to the top QBs in this draft. It's not his strength, but it's definitely not a weakness either.

The West Coast Offense is based on short and intermediate passes. Bill Walsh invented it to compensate for a quarterback's weak arm, but now it is being used by teams with strong-armed passers.

Thanks, I am confused on the short, lateral tosses though????

Majority the short passes have been slants, curls and out routes

His NFL.com draft profile states his "passing stats are padded from operating a passing game that relies heavily on short, lateral tosses."

Again, the weak competition helps whether you agree or disagree.

Folks also are quick to brush off the fact his stats are nearly identical to those of Joe Ganz (a QB that's not even NFL caliber) in the very same system.

Odd how you're not allowed to make observations or ask questions about Ted.  Not that you really get an answer to the tough ones, though.  They're merely brushed aside.  Why is that?  All for naught, as it's just another question that will go unanswered.

Joe Ganz never played in the same system as Bridgewater

What Bridgewater has been playing in has only been in place since he has gotten there

Your lying now dude

Just because they say that doesn't mean it's true. His 'short, lateral tosses', which to me mean 5 yards or less, equal a smaller % than any of the top 4 QBs in this class.

"Your"... LOL...

Get a grip.  It's Watson's offense.  We've discussed this before.  Don't act surprised.  What, you don't know who Watson is?  Figures...

The thing is that your observations are almost exclusively negative. I mean you're seriously comparing him to Joe Ganz! His stats are actually close to Andrew Luck or Peyton Manning's career college numbers than Ganz and anyways stat comparisons mean almost nothing when deciding how successful someone will be in the pros.

I'm not sure if you make all the contrarian posts to combat the unabashed Teddy homers, but in my opinion it's really devalued any points you try to make about him.

Ok you caught me dude

I guess Manning's successor at Tennessee should have been all pro in the NFL right????

All qbs are the same??? right pirks?????

Really?  Trying to compare Joe Ganz to Teddy because they played in the same system?  What a crock.

It's quite relevant.  High percentage completions, high TD to INT ratio, similar yardage and YPA.

In no way am I saying Ganz is anywhere near Ted's caliber.  In fact, the opposite is the very point of what I'm saying.  How can you be so certain of how good you believe he truly is when a guy like Ganz can put up similar results in Watson's system?
