It's easy to read into Caldwell's comments over the past two weeks and imagine he doesn't love a quarterback at 3. He may take one in a trade back - but the more interviews he does - the more I think he'll go pass rusher at #3 if he can't trade down and deal with QB in the 2nd or 3rd round.
That's just the impression I have right now. It could change - and I wouldn't be upset at all if he took Bridgewater at #3. I just don't think he will. Caldwell is being just as transparent this year as he was last year. All signs pointed to us taking Joeckel last year despite people screaming smokescreen (me included) and he did exactly what most expected him to do. If Clowney is available he's a Jag. And there's not a doubt in my mind after listening to Caldwell's interviews the past few weeks.

Keep in mind Dave Caldwell never named specific players. He said he knows who the top three guys on his board are, but gave no hints about their positions. We can only guess one is Clowney. He mentioned a certain player falling to us. After hearing his comments (and hesitations) about reaching for the wrong QB that leaves only one player falling to #3. Clowney. He's the pick if available and if some other team (Falcons) doesn't offer a deal to worthy to pass up in a trade back.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't shaw battle injuries the past two years that kept him out for extended time? That could be a legitimate concern.
Maybe I'm thinking of someone else, I'll admit to not following Sc that closely.

Bridgewater: I have met with the Jaguars. It was a great meeting. Lot of energy in that room. Owner and GM were in there.

The offensive linemen looked incredibly strong.
Matthews confirms he is the best college football player in the country. It was good to see Taylor Lewan in such elite form. Had he come out last year, can you imagine offensive tackles being taken with four of the first five picks? Lewan stayed in school and some scouts even dropped him out of the first round. It's very possible that three of the top five this year will again be offensive tackles. Robinson doesn't show any signs of being a pass protector of franchise level talent. I have him third now. Jake or Taylor will hopefully be our first round selection staying put at number three! Ikard and Richburg had a great showing. I say it's a tie between them. I also think Furman's Dakota Dozier is going to be a pro-bowl caliber guard. Cyrus was the biggest stock drop, in my estimation. Very disappointed. Butonio is impressive, but his legs don't look right for an offensive lineman for some reason.
