Your Ideal First Two Rounds
|
Manziel then trade back into the first for Zach Martin and move him to guard.
A lot of people talk about Manziel’s arm strength negatively, but I don’t see why. He has a very strong arm. From what I’ve seen, in terms of pure arm strength, I’d put him second above Bridgewater
and behind Mariota. He is able to throw the ball for chunks of yardage at a time through the air, and honestly he could probably throw it a whole lot further if he put his weight behind it (he has footwork issues which I’ll address later). One thing I was also pleasantly surprised with was his touch. He knows how to control the arc of the ball pretty well, but it’s not fantastic. I would also put him second in this category, with Mariota at third (Bridgewater is far and away the best touch passer in the country.) Anyway, I digress. He is also, as you can see from the statistics, very accurate. 80% accuracy against the best team in the country isn’t normal. It’s very good. We show less advertisements to registered users. What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
If Teddy/Clowney both on board:
1- Teddy 2 - Dee Ford If only 1 on board: 1-Teddy 2- Dee Ford or 1- Clowney 2- Gabe Jackson or Xavier Su'a Filo If Both gone and no trade down: 1- Mack 2 - Gabe Jackson or Xavier Su'a Filo

1st) Teddy 2) Austin Seferian-Jenkins (security blanket for Teddy SINCE HE ONLY LIKEZ DAH SHORT PASSEZ) and trade back up into second for Van Noy or even the defender from ASU, the name has escaped me at the moment

If Teddy Bridgewater is gone, my dream draft would be:
1. Trade with the Falcons to get a second round pick 2. Pick Khalil Mack at #6 3. Pick Dee Ford at #37 (Atlanta's second rounder) 4. Pick a quarterback at #39. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Teddy/Ford has got to be the most ideal scenario but definitely not the most likely. Both guys may easily be off the board before we pick.
If we grab a pass rusher, I'm just thinking which QB is the best after that. Maybe a Mack(or Clowney)/Mett combo.
1. Clowney/Mack
2. Manziel

Quote:1. Clowney/MackAre we trading back into the early first round? I know we are saying ideal scenario, but I don't see any way that Manziel falls past the first round. I'm not even a real fan of the guy either.

Unfortunately we would have to give up our third round pick and assigned fourth round pick to move up at least 10 spots. I would rather move only five spots up and keep the third round pick. Clowney/Carr
Bridgewater/Seastrunk if he runs a low 4.3 Trade down, pick Watkins/Carr and Seastrunk in the 2nd

Quote:Teddy/Ford Do you really think #39 is a good place to pick Mettenberger?
Quote:This team is not going to trade up. If Ford somehow falls into the second round and the Redskins, Browns, or Raiders accept a fourth and fifth to move down, I am all for trading up to get him. Otherwise, I would rather stay at #39. |
