I don't agree with everything this club does, I don't know who does.. But one thing for certain, I won't go off on a total tangent whinefest when it doesn't.. Like a handful of you do..

So apparently, you save that for the other message board then? A lot of us have been conditioned to think negatively when it comes to team decisions. We've been bad for so long, that we just expect things not to turn out in our favor. If we actually saw some improvement, this might change. Lawrence represents that hope that we have for the future. There is nothing wrong with wanting to protect that investment with good edge protectors.

This is the only message board I go to, chief.. I've been here since day 1 as well, much like everyone else and like I said earlier, I'm just along for the ride. I'm actually waiting for you to become disappointed again, like the hiring of Meyer, because your dramas are just as entertaining as Mikesez..

Somewhere in Georgia, Trevor Lawrence felt a chill run down his spine... as if millions of voices cried out in terror.

He's fine they can still upgrade if they want but if hes the starter this year it'll be ok he still has potential imo.

I do understand why they did it.  The free agent market is very slim and we dont' know how much baltimore wanted for their tackle.  My issue is Cam Robinson isn't even an average LT.  IF you use PFF or the eye test it shows the same result.  Cam is very inconsistent and overall one of the bottom tackles in the league.

The other troubling thing is Meyer's comments.  He is either Delusional or  gives one heck of a coach speak.  He made it sound like Robinson is a Stud. Meyer even commented something to the effect of "I want him playing here long term"

The hope is the Jaguars are able to get a decent trade or hits a home run with the draft pick.  I believe Cam could be a good RT.  I don't like him on the left side!

My hopes are:

1.  Trent Williams-though that hope is diminishing
2.  A trade up in the middle of the 1st round for Slater or Darrisaw.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

Its a good move, jags ned a 0-line to protect who ever the qb ends up being in 2021.  The one who destroyed the winning cultutre ,and atteduide in Jville is gone now.

I said it before,im  giveing myer the chance as HC.   If hes really a top HC like a lot of mediea has said he can succed in nfl. it will take time though.

If anything i belieave we will see more comptive team under myer ,and players will play harder.

snowwolf titans owner in madden.

note titans owner means im undeafted againest them.

I think we’re fine with Robinson at LT. He’s got low mileage and he doesn’t break the bank. Our QB will make him even better. Then you guys can log into your PFF accounts and feel happy when his ranking improves.

There’s never going to be an offseason when a team hits on everything us fans are wanting. He’s not Boselli but he sure ain’t Joeckel.

What are you talking about?  The franchise tag is expected to exceed $14 million!  He's the second most expensive player on the entire team!!!

He's been in the league 4 years and has 50 regular/post season starts.  How many more starts does he need before he'll begin turning that so-called potential into performance?

Ooh ooh ooh who is first?  I cant even imagine we have a single player right now worth 14 mil a year.

Schobert, Jack, Linder and Norwell make a ton of money, has to be one of them. And honestly, none of them is worth their contract.

I am a fan, not a cheerleader.

Norwell with $15 million.  We could save $9 million if we cut/traded him.  For your information, next on the list of largest cap hits would be Myles Jack ($12.1 million), Joe Schobert ($9.9 million) and Brandon Linder ($8.6 million).  Everyone else is less than $7 million (aka half of Cam Robinson).

I know it’s shocking, but the football people may have actually done their homework and already knew we weren’t going to get him.

Did they mention the part of that same podcast where Trent said he would absolutely consider Jax because he believes Tlaw is a plug and play from day 1 QB and that he likes the warmth and tax situation in Florida?

I think he's probably just playing the game and pumping up his price.  If we break the bank for him, he'll sign here.  But it can be argued that breaking the bank for a 32 year old player is not the wisest thing to do when you're starting a rebuild from 1-15.

That's the thing.  We traded Eugene Monroe because we wanted to move Luke Joeckel to LT.  And that should be a lesson to all of us, to be careful with moves like that.  It's easy to say, let Cam just walk in free agency, he sucks, blah blah blah.  But until you have a better player to replace him, it might be wise to franchise the guy for one year and see what comes along.  Meyer said this is not a good year to be looking for a LT.  I think that's why they franchised Cam.  They didn't want to take the chance that if they let him walk, they would wind up with someone worse.

And besides, we still don't know the future at LT.   They just didn't want to let our starting LT walk away and leave a hole there.

Agreed completely.

Agreeing with everything the team does is being a Stepford fan.

@I don't think he'll be as good with the Rams as he was in Detroit. His best years are probably behind him.@

(TLDR - it's Norwell....for now)
