He is definitely coming in to play DE.

My mistake.  While I only knew of Jihad Ward as a defensive lineman, I saw a couple of articles referring to him as either a linebacker or a hybrid defensive end/linebacker so I assumed he played there some and thought it must be in certain 3-4 alignments.  However, upon further review, I do think he will play exclusively on the defensive line in Jacksonville.  As such, I'll move him to the defensive line on the 53 man roster projection.  I'm sure this will come with great joy to many, but it does mean that we say sayonara to Taven Bryan.  The move also opens up a spot at linebacker.  Which one of the following linebackers do people on here think should make the team:

• Leon Jacobs
  
• Quincy Williams
  
• Joe Giles-Harris
  
• Dakota Allen
  

I think Jacobs.  He's the best of that lot.

That says he's going to make the team?

I think he might make the 90 man training camp roster.  But a 33 year old, who hasn't played football in years, and is learning a new position, in 95 degree heat and 95% humidity?   If he makes it through training camp, I will be very surprised.  Either he'll be cut or he'll "retire."

Or here's what else might happen: injured in training camp, goes on IR and draws a salary while rehabbing.  Then he gets to stand on the sidelines in civvies and mingle with the players during the games.

I think Tyler Davis is going to ball out. Unless he has a bad training camp and pre season, I can't see him being cut.

Haha. That is speculation at best. If you have ever watched his tape, you would see what I am talking about the guy is exactly what you look for in a receiving TE.

Last season, undrafted Ben Ellefson started 4 games and Tyler Davis started 0.  Castoff Eric Saubert was active in an equal number of games (8) and had more receptions (3) than Tyler Davis (0).  For someone that was a draft pick, Tyler should have gotten greater activity over these 2, which he didn't. It makes me speculate he was/is underwhelming and a long shot this year.
