Some will take the off ramp in NC and end up turning us more toward a full fledged Democratic state. A lot of retirees here from up north and they've turned it purple. 

As for the insanity of what the city council is doing to the NYPD. It's disgraceful. When are the residents going to see what is happening is not in their best interest? When it looks like Portland on the regular? Only much larger.

I have some news for you. Kids are naturally inclusive. They didn't start to ask questions until inclusion became unnatural.

The thing is, all people aren't "equal" in some aspects.  There are winners and losers.  Today's education is geared towards the "everyone gets a trophy" mindset.  As far as "inclusion", everybody is "equal" and has the same opportunity to succeed if they really want to.

Unfortunately, some people have mental health problems that they and others want to make "normal".  This mental disorder may hinder them from achieving certain things.

Why does everyone have to be included? Seriously. Not everyone is meant for everything and trying to shoehorn people into every single group is absurd. The great thing about humans are our differences. Do jackholes with a piss poor attitude take advantage and make it a bad thing? Yep. 

Welcome to human nature. 

It doesn't mean we all have to be accepting of all things just to make everyone feel good. 

If you people only knew how often I was bullied while growing up because I was tall and skinny with curly hair (but not curly enough for the 80s so I asked my mom to give me perms,) I was shy and sensitive, etc. These days girls would kill to look like I did, but in the 80s I was "Olive Oyl" and "giraffe" and the female version of "Super Stretch." Among others. I didn't belong anywhere in school, at home, or at church and guess what? It didn't kill me. It taught me a good many things that I wouldn't have learned otherwise and what all these kids demanding inclusiveness will never learn. 

How to deal with adversity and not cower or quit just because people don't like me or don't agree with me; or I don't get the job I want or feel I deserve; or I'm told I don't qualify for something (but I do the work to get qualified and make it happen anyway, or I find something else.) So many other things. 

You couldn't pay me enough to live my formative years again, but I wouldn't give any of it up for anything else or anything easier. It helped me survive in situations I probably shouldn't have, or otherwise wouldn't have. Tell me truthfully, are all these kids going to be able to say the same when they hit the midlife years? Unlikely.

Went to a local Chili's the other Wednesday night with the family around 6. Got to the door and was told that the wait was 35 to 40 minutes. Looked around the restaurant and it was empty except for the bar area. I presumed that it was being cleaned and sanitized due to covid. It turned out that the wait was the result of them having no serving staff other than the two people tending bar. After asking a couple of questions, it turns out that they don't have any serving staff because they can't find anyone that wants to work there. Some of the serving staff was doing cross training in the kitchen cooking the food. The manager's opinion was that people are staying home and making almost as much just collecting government money, then signing up to possibly make a little bit more with wages and tips as a server. I've had the same conversations was quite a few construction contractors recently as well, and they say the same thing. It's getting increasingly harder for them to hire subcontract labor as a result. Welcome to socialism. 3 more years like this, and we will be Venezuela.
