Would you trade pick #45 for Julio Jones?

The Falcons want to unload him, apparently.

No, I wouldn't trade anything for him and his bloated salary and his injury history. The team isn't one player away.

No.

We just signed Jones and I rather give playing time to Chark, Schenault and even Johnson

Yeah, Colts never drafted offense when Manning was there. KC doesn't care about offense as long as they have Mahomes. It also works great for Green bay to not give Rodgers any help... For Seattle too.

Trevor needs help, he is not elite and won't be, at least for the first few years, much less if he doesn't get any help and a better offensive line.

So you spend picks and cash on Julio, that means either Marvin or Chark are losing snaps, you develop timing and familiarity with the guy, and in a year or two, he's gone and you get to start all over again with the process.

If there is only one position on this team where we can say we are not desperate for help, it would be WR. If Julio could bulk up and play LT, I'm all for dealing.

why the squiggle?

In a thread all about trading for Julio, that sure sounds like you're contesting that TLaw will be fine with the receivers we got. So which side are you on, it seems like you are advocating for both.

If he were younger, absolutely. But he's not, so I wouldn't.

As for Offense vs Defense, I think our Defense will look more competent solely because we won't have Todd Wash running it. I think emphasizing offense might be a good idea in the draft. Give Trevor Lawrence the tools to succeed. This isn't a 'playoff or bust' year. It's the beginning of a new era, and we can build our defense as we go.

Nobody said don’t draft offense. Stop being dramatic.

Totally agree with this sentiment. Well said.

I don't see any drop off in his stats except he missed 6 games last season with a hamstring.
45th pick is nothing to get him.

no way no how...the Falcons would quietly take the offer and then out of sight scream for joy..then ask themselves what else can we sell these fools?

For me, a better question would be would I trade #45 for Hayden Hurst?

I'd rather select Pat Freiermuth at 45.
