CJ, Griffin, Sidney Jones, Herndon, Barqoo is completely fine. They have next to zero depth at EDGE and LB. Not taking JOK would be malpractice JOK is schemeless...most versatile player in the draft. If you can't figure out how to use him you're a bad coach.

While I wouldn't take Campbell here, he won't be nearly as bad of a pick as Etienne was. Maybe a B-/C+ grade compared to Etienne's D grade. He plays an elite position and is already pretty decent with huge upside if he learns how to play the catch point a lot better. Would rather get him at 45, but I won't be terribly upset.
(04-30-2021, 04:10 PM)JNev Wrote: What a disaster that would be seriously... JOK, Azeez, Moehrig, the Moore's, Jenkins, and Marshall Jr. are ALL preferable to him Campbell fits Urban's desire for more speed. He would not be the best pick for the 2021-22 season since he'll likely be 4th on the depth chart after Henderson, Griffin and Jones. If he can improve his ball-skills, this pick should turn out well. However, after taking Etienne (not a high need position) taking another one of these is questionable. Taking an offensive tackle like Jenkins or Eichenberg just makes more sense.

Would they be dumb fir standing pat? What if they weren't offered anything more than a 6th round pick for a move down? Would they be dumb for turning it down? Maybe they decide to accept the offer in a couple of hours? Let it play out. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
I still can’t get my head around Campbell. That’s gonna leave such an awful taste in my mouth
I wonder who the Jags will end up taking at #33 and #45 tonight. There still are some good choices out there. I also wonder what the Jets are planning to regarding the #34 pick.
Also, there is a report out there by a beat writer for the Panthers that the Jags/Panthers are having talks about trading Gardner. https://twitter.com/Sheena_Marie3/status...0002671620 https://twitter.com/Sheena_Marie3/status...0581160965 I think this report has teeth to it. This lady has reported things for the Panthers before/I think other events in Carolina for a sports website in the past. (Black Sports Online). I think that the Panthers were one of the teams that were interested in trading for Gardner a few weeks ago. And they have reportedly said they are still evaluating the QB position (I believe even after trading for Sam Darnold). So that could be something to watch for, and see if something happens there. |
