I feel like Bortles is going 1st overall....so where does that leave us?

Would rather see the Jags trade for Kirk Cosuins and sign Tebow. Never thought I'd say that!!!! Gives 2 QBs that can play in the NFL and would only have to give up a 2nd or 3rd round pick for Cousins. That would leave us with our # 3 pick to help get a player that could be of help at another position. Would rather draft. Barr out of UCLA than Clowney and we could trade down that 3 pick to the 7-10 pick and get our 2nd round pick back that we give up to get cousins. Helps get plenty of future studs without breaking the bank.

If that RV sales place wants Tebow in Jax bad enough to take out a billboard saying as much.....they should just HIRE him.

Quote:He knows a lot more then kiddies on a message boardSometimes that can be debateable. I am pretty sure I could have drafted better than Gene Smith. Give me the Jags draft from 2009-2012 and our team is better with me as the GM! Quote:Bortles has the prototypical size teams love, and looked pretty good in drills. He still needs work but I feel like a team like Houston won't pass up his measurables or the fact he is a gamer. I still don't think he is a better QB than Teddy but that is my opinion. Anyway if the Texans go this route where does that leave us. If the Texans go Bortles at #1, where does that leave us? Right where we want to be.

Bortles (who I think is the one QB Caldwell would want - just a guess) 2. STL - DE J. Clowney (or whoever trades up for him) 3. JAC - DE/OLB K. Mack (pass rushing beast with fire we need if QB not selected) 4. CLE - QB J. Manziel (they can have him) 5. OAK - OT J. Matthews 6. ATL - OT G. Robinson 7. TAM - WR S. Watkins 8. MIN - QB T. Bridgewater (may fall slightly, Geno Smith comparisons coming?) 9. BUF - WR M. Evans (rises to top 10 with that 4.4 40 time) 10. DET - OT T. Lewan or CB D. Then that means we face 2 All-Pros twice a year for the next 10 years. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I am more worried about them taking Bridgewater and him throwing to Johnson and Hopkins. I was not impressed with Bortles.

Maybe some of you never watched him but not only was he a freak but he was nasty. He was truly a terror on the D line. You think Suh is nasty, Sapp was a damn monster in his prime. Hope someone falls in love with one of the bigger names and trade back.
And Teddy's agents need not worry, he'll still be there at # whatever. Man, what a great year to have a high pick.
I only like trading back if we get very good return. Im not a fan of trading back for 3rd-5th rounders

The one thing I do know, and the good news is this: Jaguars will have a chance to get Bridgewater at #3 in virtually every draft scenario I have looked at. You can quote me on that come draft day.
The real question is will it be Teddy vs Johnny or Teddy vs Bortles at that point. I mean, it's pretty obvious by now that if the Texans are going QB this year, it will either be homegrown Texas boy Manziel, or the new coach's more prototypical QB Bortles. This is not a hit on Teddy(he may actually be the best QB prospect), it's just that VERY VERY few people I know think Texans brass would actually pick him over one of those 2. Leaving Jaguars the 3 most likely scenarios: 1)Texans draft Bortles, Jaguars are left to decide between Teddy and Johnny. 2)Texans draft Manziel, Jaguars are left to decide between Teddy and Bortles. 3)Texans draft Bortles, Browns trade up to #2 and get Manziel, Jaguars are left to decide between Teddy and a skill player.
I want 3 players. Clowney, Bridgewater, Manziel. Jaguars have the number 3 pick. Just give me one of those 3 at 3, and I'm happy.

Yes, we all know he was a monster on the field. That doesn't mean he knows what he's doing as an analyst.
