I don't think he'll make the final roster.  Better to go deep in WR and RB than blocking TE's.  You're more likely to have someone breakout with game impacting performances there.  I don't think hard work and a good attitude will be enough to get a roster spot.  Dunno.  Maybe as he's only getting paid the unguaranteed league minimum then you can afford a spot for leadership or whatnot.  I'd rather list another special teams cannon fodder than four blocking TE's.
